I have been going to Bike Line since my freshman year at UNC Charlotte in 2009. The staff has always been very helpful. As soon as I walk in the door, they ask how they can help me and immediately direct me to where I can find what I am looking for. Sometimes I come in without knowing what I need to fix the issue so it is nice when they can look at the problem and inform me what I need. The most recent time I went was today when I purchased a bike rack and a GearClean Brush. Since my road bike does not have the normal lower or upper rack mounts, I found it challenging to follow the instructions provided by the bike rack manufacturing company. Thankfully, the mechanic (I should have asked for his name) at Bike Line knew an alternate way to install the rack so I let him work on it while I went grocery shopping. The mechanic informed me that it would take less than thirty minutes and it did. I value Bike Line’s commitment to excellent customer service and professional biking knowledge. In addition to excellent customer service and professional biking knowledge, Bike Line has a strong commitment to community service. The staff has been volunteering their time and energy to do free bike repairs during Campus Sustainability Week and Earth Day every year for as long as I can remember. I also see Bike Line at the University City Duathlon. As a member of the Charlotte Area Bicycle Alliance (CABA), I value Bike Lines support of CABA.

This is a great bike shop. Me and My boyfriend have bought 4 bikes from here besides the great deals they have. The Service has been perfect from day one and that what keeps us coming back. From answering all our questions about the different bikes and what bike is best for us to answering any questions we have on bike repairs and upgrades. One thing I want to argue about some of the other reviews is when people say that unless you have a expensive bike they do not want to help you. I disagree 100% I have seen first hand someone coming in with a Wal-Mart bike and they have got them back on the road. But the One thing my Boyfriend points out is some people want a $1000 or $2000 dollar bike at Wal-Mart Price. I am sorry I am not a pro rider or anything but even I know you get what you pay for And if you buy a cheap bike from somewhere else dont be mad at the shop or take it out on the people at the shop cause the cheap Bike didnt hold up or because it didnt perform like a $2000 bike. But I would like to say Thank you to everyone at Bike Line keep up the amazing job because you guys are the reason you have 2 loyal customers for life!!

The only bike shop you need to visit. I called 4-5 bike shops in greater Charlotte looking for answers as I was just getting back into biking in 16+ years. Mark at Bike Line was the ONLY person I talked to who knew what they were talking about. He was also the only honest person I talked to who truly answered my questions. He never pushed with the typical sales crap we hear so much. When I went in to see them Mark was off that day. I was disappointed. Thats when I met Heather. Extremely knowledgeable and you could tell she loves her job! I bought the bike that day. When I came back the following day to pick it up is when I met Shane. Shane turned out to be the owner (which he never revealed to me). Shane answered all my questions, went over the bike again and helped me pick out the best helmet for me and the best trip computer for me. He didnt help find the helmet or trip computer with the most markup in it, he helped me pick out what was the best fit for me. I love the bike shop. I will be a customer for a very long time. Thank you to all the excellent staff (and owner) at the Bike Line Charlotte!!

I have been going to bikeline off and on for about a year now and I have been very pleased with the service, quality of products and knowledge of the employees. When I go to either get my bike checked when I dont know whats going wrong with it or looking for some products to improve or enhance my bike I always arrive to friendly, great quality service. They definitely know what they are doing and you learn something new everytime you go. Unlike some shops they dont pressure you to purchase their merchandise. Instead they pretty much let the product sell itself. I would strongly recommend bikeline over most other bike shops. The only other place I would usually go for bike parts is walmart and I dont plan on going back anytime soon for parts as they dont always know as much about the product as the employees at bikeline do. Would you rather save a few bucks and risk damaging your bike or having a lower quality part or would you rather sacrifice a few extra bucks to get a better, more effecient part that will last longer and get more bang for your buck with the knowledge of how it interacts with your bike.

I dont have the most expensive/top of the line bikes you can get, but they certainly are not WalMart bikes. I was made to feel somewhat looked-down-upon for having cheaper bikes when I brought them in to have them serviced and looked over. When I came to pick them up, yes, they did explain everything they did thoroughly, but all I got was excuses as to why they couldnt fix this or adjust that. I ended up completely missing a gear on my bike after I took it there and my wifes bike had absolutely no stopping power on her front disc brakes. After I took my bike in, I noticed my rear wheel had a slight wobble to it. I dont know a whole lot about bikes, as this is my first long-term bike. It certainly didnt have the wobble to it before I took it it. Fastforward a month, my wife and I go up to the Creeper Trail in VA (beautiful place!), 2 miles in and my rear bearing completely locks up. Ive had MUCH better service from the Trek outlet store in Northlake. Only took my bikes here because I had needed them back by a certain date. Definitely wont be coming back though.

I took a bike in with gear problems, it would continually shift and was difficult to ride. The fellow behind the counter put it though a test and told me the chain was old and that the back axil was a bit loose but it could be repaired with a new chain and the $99.99 check up. Even though it was an old, cheap bike I took him at his word and left it to be repaired. Picked it up today, it does have a new chain but it still shifts on it own exactly as before. The bike teck. TK tells me it needs a new derailer and that the rear axil is bent. After a bit of back and forth he dropped the price for his useless repair to a total of $91.43. (59.99 versus the $99.99) He basically told me to take my bike somewhere else where they worked on cheaper bikes. He seemed a bit put out that I wasnt happy spending that money on a worthless checkup. I have been using these guys since they opened their doors but I guess success brings arrogance. Think long and hard before you believe a word they say. They sure lost my business today and I will be sure and tell everyone I know.
