So a new owner, Daveena, has bought Mithai house and her and her husband updated the entire shop it now has the feel of a bistro or coffee house with outside seating too! Its absolutely a wonderful place everything is updated and new. I just simply love it. And the added real Indian coffee to the drink list and you can now purchase Mithai by the piece and/or you can mix and match your favorite pieces! Personally the samosa are my favorite but the vegi chops are pretty good too. If youre looking for a new interesting hot spot for something new or a great place to chill and enjoy desert without being hounded by wait staff go to Mithai house. Its all fresh and handmade, not out of a box crap.

We were looking for a place to have Fresh Indian Snacks and then landed up at this place. I really really loved the place. The owners were very friendly, it felt as if we are at our friends place. The food was fresh and yummy. We tried - - Veg Chop : It was fantastic and a must try - Mango Lassi : I will rate it 4.5/5 - Masala Chai : It was decent - Bhelpuri : It was good too and can be customized as per your needs(sweet or spicy) - Sandesh : They prepare the sweets themselves and after eating the first bite only you will realise that this is the best Sandesh you can get in North Carolina. I will 100% recommend you to try it and other sweets

What a lovely place to get pampered with Indian snacks and dessert ! You would never be disappointed there. This place will perfectly refresh you with their masala tea or coffee and will certainly fill your heart with a vast storehouse of naturally made authentic Indian sweets. My favorite among the sweets is Malai chumchum and pista barfi. If you are looking for a delicious snack, try their lip smacking vegetable chop, bhelpuri or chaat. Lovely cosy ambience and wonderful hosts.

I visited Mithai house with my wife after a cousin of mine recommended it to us. The owner, Daveena was cordial to us. She explained about the ingredients they use in each of the sweets that she let us taste. Almost all of the sweets we tasted were authentic, freshly made, very delicious. I got a glimpse of the kitchen which looked well kept and clean, and the utensils were arranged neatly. I would highly recommend this store to anyone who wants to buy sweets.

Horrible customer service, I waited 10 mins to pay even after my sweets were ready, just because she was chatting with customers that came way after me. Total waited time in the shop was 40 mins. And sweets were not that great. Also they charged me for a box( really, come on) Would never go back again. Please pay attention to customers you already have instead of trying to get more customers.

This review is for the store under the new ownership. Theyre friendly and always cheerful. The chaats are consistently good and the sweets are oh so good. My personal favorites are the Samosas, the Samosa chaat and the Bhel Puri. The Kaju Barfi is phenomenal. This place dearly fills a long standing vacuum in the area for good Indian comfort / street food.

If you like sweet please do not go to this place. Their sweet was awful and most importantly was not fresh. I spent $21 for rasomalai ( btw - please dont get this here), gopalbhog and chum chum. I had to throw those away since no one wanted to ear that after the first bite. The owner is very nice but surely doesnt have a good chef.

The best sweet shop in the area. Running out of superlatives for Mithai. The hostess with the mostest always serves up the best bengali sweets one can get their hands on. Little piece of heaven for an avid bong like me.
