So after my experience this morning at dulce, I will not be returning to give them my service. I decided to try something new off the menu and it wasnt what I assumed it to be. So without taking one bite of my food, I returned it hoping to switch it out for something else. I didnt think it would be a problem. The chef in the back came out to personally speak to me and he began getting on my case about how it wasnt his fault that I didnt know what I was getting. He basically said that I shouldve done my research first. So after giving me a speech as if Im a child he said he would make me something else. What I wanted was priced lesser than what I originally ordered, so I said dont give me the difference. The chef said he didnt plan on giving me the difference anyway because it wasnt his fault that the original order I purchased wasnt what I expected. I then told him how I felt like he was being rude when I was being nothing but polite so just take the sandwich back and keep the money. As I was about to leave the chef stated how people in his country would love to eat the meal and that it is now wasted food. My feelings was very hurt at the way he responded. I didnt expect this at all! With this being said I was going to make a complaint about the restaurant until I found out that he is the manager. So there is basically nothing that can be done about the bad customer service I just received. Im not the type of person that usually writes bad reviews about a restaurant but this cannot go unknown!

I have been to Dulce many times and have really enjoyed their chicken salad sandwich (not the best chicken salad Ive ever had but its pretty decent). It comes with a side salad that has a good dressing. I have taken a couple of different family members who have given other menu items mixed reviews. Recently I went with my mother-in-law and two daughters. After finishing our lunch on the patio, we purchased a box of cookies/dessert items. When my daughter tripped and dropped the box right outside the door, my mother-in-law let the staff member know what happened. The employee took back the box of cookies that fell on the ground. She asked my mother-in-law what was in the box, filled up a new box with the same items, then proceeded to charge her again. I feel like this was really poor business. It would have been nice for her to give them to us for free (or at least for a discount). I have frequented this restaurant for years but will not go back after this incident.

Best cafe spot in Triangle area! My friends and I absolutely LOVE this place, we have been going almost weekly and we have known about this place for a little over a year now. This is the closest place we can find that is similar to the pâtisseries we have tried in Europe. There is a lot of skill and talent that goes behind their pastries, which I greatly appreciate, because they do not rip you off by serving the typical "chocolate chip cookies" and "cupcakes" that people can easily recreate at home. And the manager is always greeting us with a smile and offers exceptional service, even serving us our food at times, which is extremely rare to see these days. Being very familiar with the restaurant business, we appreciate seeing the amount of hard work that goes into managing this wonderful cafe spot.

I come here often to enjoy gelato or lunch while I study. I came to study today, but didnt purchase any food because Im getting ready to have surgery soon and my dietary intake is restricted. I went to the counter and asked for the password, and the guy refused to give it to me unless I purchased something. The wifi is advertised as free on public pages managed and associated with the business. Ive never gotten that response from any cafe let alone a spot that I frequent. When I explained my situation to the owner, he was very curt, rude, and disrespectful. If the wifi isnt free, it shouldnt be advertised as such. I wont be returning.

The heart of a true professional owns this cafe, and hes poured quality into every inch of the shop. The coffee is wonderful and quite a step above most. My favorite pastries would include: the specialty of the house, Coconut and Chocolate Meringues (they will rock your day,) the chocolate croissants, the ganache covered chocolate cakes, banana tartlets, and of course the brioche, so far these are on the top of my list. Just entering the shop feels warm and inviting with a great staff, everyone in the place reflect something special all wrapped around professionalism. So if you enjoy a good caffe this one will not let you down.

I bought an eclair from Dulce and sat down outside to eat it along with a sandwich Id brought for lunch. The owner (I presume) came outside to tell me that even though I was a paying customer and had bought my dessert from Dulce, I wasnt allowed to sit at the tables with my own food. He didnt even say it apologetically, but rather rudely said, "never do it again." Well, I certainly wont. I just wanted to have my lunch and a nice dessert, but I guess the owner would rather I go somewhere else to do so. I used to come a few times a month, but I dont think Ill bother anymore.

Dulce came recommended from a friend who knows the owners. I was very happy to arrive and see it bustling with customers and such a warm and welcoming environment. As I peered into the gelatto case, I was able to see a lot more than I expected in the kitchen. First, they work with food without wearing gloves to make sandwiches and salads. I was going to overlook that, but then, a sandwich dropped on the floor. Instead of them throwing it away, they picked it up and plated it for service. Needless to say, I did not stay and try their food. I will never return.

My husband and I are repeat Silver customers, and we often take out of town guests here for coffee and dessert. They have an amazing selection of cake by the slice and a rotating selection of more exotic cake options like mojito or tiramisu slices. The gelato selection is fairly small, but unique with flavors like toasted marshmellow. Their paninis are wonderful and the side salads are well portioned and high quality. I recommend the Cuban and rueben sandwiches. Then again, I havent had a bad experience yet and weve been going here for about 3 years.

They have the best gelato!!! Good food too. Sandwiches are around $10, with either chips or a side salad. Not a lot of vegetarian options. I get the chicken pesto substitute avocado for chicken. They have a few full size salads, including Greek with or without chicken. The pastries are beautiful but I have yet to try them. Espresso drinks are good. You place your order and they bring it to your table. They have never messed up our order. There is one single stall bathroom (gender nutral), no changing table. Highly recommend.

Bad attitude, I asked for a try for Gelato, And he got a very bad attitude , rolled his eyes, and say something meaning like you can only try two flavors! Nothing more ! WELL!!!!!! that was my second try anyway!!!! My friends were in front of the line, But that was their try, not mine!!! Yes , we are a group, but I didnt get to taste them! And the Gelato is not even close the genuine Gelato at all. Id rather go to Amorino at downtown Raleigh! They have the best Gelato and pleasant attitude !
