They have very friendly and helpful employees at this store. While the store could use the facelift that is going on at the North-Hills JCP, the Cary store is much more "personal" and convenient. Parking is readily available, and the store is organized, neat and clean. JCP still has the BEST window treatment department in the industry. The Cary store drapery personnel are well-trained and knowledgeable and were able to help me with my new house. JCP, much like Belks, ALWAYS seems to have a sale going with coupons in the weekend paper insert, so I was able to get an additional discount. They could definitely use small shopping carts---they dont have any and I would have stayed longer if I would not have had to drag around bags with me. I shopped on my day off in several departments and most all of the apparel was good quality, name brands and good (even great) prices. The Home department had a lot of well-known brands, but whomever does the pricing for them is obviously not doing frequent price-comparisons with other big-box stores. If their corporate peeps dont get their home department pricing more competitive, then they will never turn the JCP chain around. Its sad, really, and almost a joke for them to offer the same brands in the home department that everyone else has, but be much higher in every category. Why would I pay $20-$30 more for a Keurig coffeemaker when EVERYONE has them? The only item there I think is a real deal are their "Cooks" line of cookware when they have a sale. Another very good department in the store is the bath/towel area. They have a massive section of the store dedicated to all kinds of bath towels, rugs and so forth in a huge variety of colors. While they had a decent area set up for bedding/sheets and pillows, I thought their sheet set prices were a bit high, even on sale. But they did have a lot of nice bedding set displays, showing lots of bedding groups. I felt that selection and variety overall was pretty good throughout the store. While I did not venture into the shoe department, jewelry, or the kids area, I feel that JCP in Cary is a wonderful store with a home-town feel and nice people. Most of all, they had very friendly staff and Cary Towne Center beats North Hills anytime for convenience and parking.

I need JC Penney for clothing and drapes especially. They carry brands that fit me and their sale prices are great. I just got lovely living room drapes and rods and the quality is wonderful. Cary Towne Center is a convenient location and parking is easy. My only complaint is the way they set up the store to be hard to navigate. I waste time trying to find my way around instead of shopping. I know thats a common strategy to keep people in the store longer, but it is not efficient. It is more efficient to show where the doors are and where the mall entrance is so I can concentrate on my shopping instead of keeping track of where I am.

Today I went to the store and brought some clothes to the children and asked Ms. Ali Tehasibni she started telling me first on the price of pajamas because he is. Some times the price Bacon variable but revealed the price of one and the other she will be the same price and with my order again and actually we found that the price of the cheapest and not change And she ask me return the pjamas to hangers And she dont ask me the rewards number I love jcpenney but she make me sad

Not exactly a bustling store, but thats good if youre not much of a shopper like me. It is a well-kept store, clean and tidy. It seems to be well stocked, including a generous clearance section. I have to say the staff was not exactly impressive. They were slow moving and not always knowledgable or friendly. At times it felt like I was inconveniencing them, even when they were not immediately in the middle of another task. Overall its a good store and I visit frequently.

Staff is awesome and very helpful. 2 stars for the store itself. I never seen a store in need of a rebuild, refresh, re-anything! JcPenny corporate needs to give this store a makeover. Poor environment to work in..... I feel bad for the staff. I dont think anyone likes shopping there because of that which is sad because the workers are GREAT!

Ever since the change it has never been the same. I hope that they bring back more clothes with their old pricing structure. People like sales deals and they once had normal clothes for normal people!
