I realize this is very late to write a review but Ive been thinking about the experience I had at this place for years. I bought a certified preowned 2000 Celica GT-S from this dealer in October of 2004. Upon delivery of the car the aftermarket gauges had been disconnected and would not illuminate, they told me there was nothing they could do about it so I had to drive home barely able to see my speed and rpms. The car had mismatched front and rear tires(I should have noticed this but I was a young inexperienced car buyer at the time). The steering wheel would vibrate at highway speeds, I had the tires re-balanced and it turned out one was full of fix a flat. The car had a bad engine mount. It had poor quality aftermarket tail lights that were leaking because some of the studs had snapped off. The car wouldnt smoothly engage 2nd gear so I took it in for service and they refused to fix it. I tried to explain the problem to the service tech and he wrote this on my bill: "CUSTOMER TOLD ME HE SHIFTS AT THE TOP OF THE POWERBAND, AT 6000 RPM. ITOLD HIM THIS WAS NOT THE RIGHT WAY TO DRIVE THE CAR. CUST. ALSO STATED HE DOWNSHIFTS TO THIRD AT 70MPH!! CUST IS BEATIG THIS CAR TO DEATH. THIS TRANS WILL COME BACK IN A MILLION PIECES." Loved all the typos. Now had he been talking to a camry owner this would have made sense but the celica GT-S doesnt make its advertised 180hp until 7800 rpms, if you shift at 6000 rpms it actually makes less power than the 140hp celica GT. Down shifting to 3rd at 70mph only just brings the car to the beginning of its high strung powerband. This tech told me the only way to use the full 180hp was to rev up to 7800 and then let the rpms fall all the way back down to 5000 or so before shifting. He also worded it as though I shifted at redline on every single gear change. I brought the car to Smithtown Toyota and they rebuilt the transmission under the certified preowned warranty. That wasnt the end of it though, the 2nd gear grind came back(had it rebuilt under warranty again by middle island toyota), at the time I assumed it was due to me being too hard on the car but after I sold the car I experienced a similar problem with my Acura RSX Type S. After the dealer had replaced the clutch for me, second gear was not engaging smoothly(which on the RSX resulted in catastrophic transmission failure, 2nd gear basically shattered.) After getting that RSX transmission rebuild done I found 2nd was still hard to engage smoothly. I did a little research and found that the clutch pedal travel needed to be adjusted after replacing a clutch which the Acura dealer didnt seem to know. Upon adjusting the clutch pedal travel the RSX once again shifted like butter, which brings me back to Atlantic Toyota and my 2000 Celica GT-S, they had installed a clutch in the car before I bought it and Im pretty sure they never bothered to adjust the clutch travel and then blamed the problem on me.

To start this review it asks to select your rating. There is no negative rating if there was Id give it a NEGATIVE RATING> Here is my story sad but true. This is my OPINION... I wish I had read the reviews before I went to this scam dealership. The MOST UNTRUSTWORTHY, Deceitful dealership Ive ever dealt with DO YOURSELF a BIG FAVOR READ THE REVIEWS.. This is from one of the very first reviews I read that I cut and past...It says it all>>> DO YOURSELF A FAVOR STAY AWAY FROM ATLANTIC TOYOTA ... <<< I could have cut and pasted something from almost EVERY review here. I have NOTHING good to say about this dealership. My wife and I were in the market for a new car. We started to do our research and came across Atlantic Toyotas "Internet Pricing" ad. The ad instructs you to get the "Internet Price" you must bring the ad with you DONT BOTHER..They NEVER offer you that price..its their bait and switch. After dealing with the Salesman and trying to get a "FAIR" price, he pulls the "I have to get my Manager" routine. The Manager was NASTY and had words with my wife. I should have walked out at this point. My bad. Be EXTREMELY careful with the "Finance Manager" Especially PABLO Here is where the three card monty comes in. READ the many reviews of where MANY others experienced the same treatment, attitude and and DECEPTION as I did. READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING FOR..I didnt and I ended up with a "Platinum 8yr 100,00 mile warranty. In my opinion The finance manager is the one that works with the sales manager to take all of your money. If you turn in a car the Finance Manager sees to it the DEALERSHIP makes ALL that money back. The FINANCE MANAGER is the most deceptive of the entire ordeal. I WILL NEVER buy or recommend this dealership. Then they have the nerve to send a "QUESTIONER REVIEW" to my email..THEY DONT CARE..NEVER HEARD BACK and I KNOW I WONT I CAN NOT say it enough READ THE REVIEWS..and STAY AWAY... I am telling friends, family, neighbors and anyone that is in the market for a new car.

Hi, I highly discourage buying a car from this dealer. I recently bought a brand new 2012 Toyota Venza last year. From the start I noticed a bad odor coming from the AC filter, I was shocked as this was a new car. I brought the car to their service station as it was completely free since it was a new car. Instead of solving the problem they tried deodorizing the AC filter sort of like it being a joke instead of replacing it. We complained to the Toyota General Managment and we have a pending case and they told us to go there and that they have to solve this problem. In the following winter it started getting cold so we turned on the heat and the same smell came back. Since we couldnt stay without heat in the cold we brought it once again back into service. I explained the problem to them and they checked into the problem and told me that they had to change the AC filter and that it was not within the warranty and told me I had to pay for it so I refused and I told them that the problem came with the car when I purchased it. I paid a lot for this car already and this was ridiculous. I got mad after this and the person I was talking to immediately told me that he didnt understand me and that you werent speaking English but understood me perfectly a couple minutes before. Then he told me to get out of his office then I asked him if he was kicking me out, a customer and he said yes. I told him that I would sue him and report him to a higher authority then left with my car. In conclusion I do not recommend anybody to purchase a Toyota car and if you already have one then do not go to the Atlantic Toyota Service and definitely dont talk to Ruben Rivera. He is the assistant service manager and I regret purchasing this especially because I paid about 50,000 dollars for this car and have this problem.
