At the age of 48, I finally decided to treat myself to my first tattoo for my birthday after years of contemplation. Although I talked to some friends who have them, the decision is ultimately a uniquely personal one and I really did not know exactly what to expect. I had never been in a tattoo shop before, and tried to put any preconceived notions I may have had out of my mind. A trusted friend recommended Dermapunct to me, and Im so glad I listened to his advice. All I knew coming in up front is that I valued a sanitary and clean environment, privacy, and someone who was willing to work with me and my insecurities to make sure that my first ink was really what I wanted. From my initial email to the finished product, Jacqsun not only met but far exceeded my standards and set the bar pretty high if I ever have to go anywhere else for my tattoo needs! I sent him a lot of photos (perhaps too many) - unsure of exactly what I wanted - and yet his initial design was almost uncannily perfect - and his modifications were right on the mark. He was always responsive to my emails; my appointment was the day after Stella (THE Blizzard of 2017); yet we still managed to make it happen. We continued to discuss the design and options right up until we started the tattoo to make sure it was what I really wanted - and he suggested some additional modifications mid-tat that were absolutely beautiful - Im glad I listened to his advice. I cant say enough about the cleanliness - and others have as well, so Ill assume Ive said enough. The private one-on-one atmosphere here is particularly notable - especially for a first timer like me. I really liked the vibe and how it put me at ease. The tattoo Jacqsun designed for me was fairly large and detailed -and absolutely lovely and gorgeous! (It is the wildflower2.jpg photo he posted recently on his site - yes, I love it too!!) It took almost 6 hours to complete; a long time, but I was very relaxed the whole time, despite the fact that it got quite a bit more uncomfortable physically as time went on. Totally beautiful work of art! I am so thankful. This review is starting to get a bit elaborate and long... but bottom line is I will be going back again for some more ink soon --- I highly recommend Jacqsun and Dermapunct - amazing artist, very professional and nice guy, plus a private and relaxing environment... and did I mention he has awesome taste in music??!!

Words really cannot express how insanely awesome my experience at Dermapunct was. It was very important to me to find a tattoo artist who would be able to create something completely unique and beautiful while also offering the best in cleanly/safe application techniques and equipment, so I did A LOT of research. Based on the detailed information on cleanliness hes provided on his website, photos from past work and the number of 5 star reviews I landed here and was so insanely blown away. Im not the best at putting my thoughts into words so my initial description of what I wanted was probably not the easiest to understand but despite that he somehow managed to create a spitting image of what I had created in my mind and then some because he added on details that made it even better than I had pictured...that unique creativity is hard to find in a tattoo artist. I really did not think it would be possible to have someone else create something that meshed with both myself and what I had envisioned so closely, I am truly blown away. The physical process of receiving this tattoo really allowed me to feel one with the experience and with what was becoming a part of my body- which yes probably sounds like some hippy bs but you will know what I mean after you go here- as a result of the calming, kind and relaxed atmosphere Jacqsun has created. I am so so so happy with my decision. There is no one else I could ever feel 100% confident in recommending in every single area from design to experience, cleanliness and sheer knowledge of the craft. If you choose to go anywhere else for a tattoo you will be really missing out.

I discovered Dermapunct by chance when I was searching places to get my first tattoo. I knew it was the right choice when I found out that all the work seen on the website is done by one person! Not only is Jacqsuns work incredible and beautifully completed, his ability to work in multiple styles really drew me in. The other big selling point for me was the fact that he doesnt have any tattoo idea books in the shop; all the tattoo are done based on the clients wants/ideas...so basically when you go to him, you WILL be getting a one of a kind tattoo. :) When you go into the actual shop, it is easy to see that Jacqsun takes care and pride in making sure the clients get the best experience. Not only does the shop have a relaxing atmosphere, it is VERY clean and well kept; another very big plus with this choice! When you get a tattoo done you want to make sure youre getting done from somewhere clean and that is definitely the case here. Lastly, in terms of Jacqsun himself, he is a very awesome, chill guy who was quite easy to talk to while getting the tattoo done! Ive been to places where the tattooist doesnt say but 2 words to you the whole time..again not the case at Dermapunct. As I said, he wants to make sure youre getting the best experience, so he will talk to you through everything just to make sure youre on the same page. Overall, if you want a great tattoo and even better experience, choose Dermapunct! You wont be disappointed. :)

Upon researching numerous tattoo shops online, a few half sleeves caught my eye and I looked further at Jacqsun Jones webpage. I was enticed because I was not looking for just any tattooist to put ink on my body; I sought someone with artistic competence and style. For two years since my mother passed away, I knew exactly what I wanted on my body to represent the eternal love we still share. Due to the incredible artistic talent evident in all of the pictures, I knew instinctively this was the place to go. And I was more than satisfied with my decision. When you walk into the shop, it is unlike any tattoo place youve set foot into. The ambiance is calming and the space is comfortable, organized, and well decorated. You are the only person to be tattooed at one time so it is a private and pleasant experience paired with great music. The cleanliness and sanitary measures taken far surpass even a Doctors office. Each needle is taken out of a sealed package with the expiration date on it. Jacqsun uses high quality products in the entire shop and takes all necessary precautions and more to ensure the cleanliness and safety of his procedures. The experience was more than I could have ever hoped for. He is focused, friendly, and incredibly talented. If you go here, you will not regret it. You will undoubtedly leave with a beautiful custom-designed piece more incredible than what you could have ever imagined beforehand.
