This mall has so much potential-- instead of retail stores it is mostly full of activity places-- gymnastics, dance, skate park, martial arts, a great laser tag arena, and a lot of awesome stuff like that. The mall should become a hub for kids and really push the experience of enriching children through arts, sports, activities, etc. It really could become a wave of the future kind of place, if they did something like that, complete with a good daycare, as well as some stuff for the parents to do while kids are having fun. It could become the wholesome mall experience where kids dont go to get into trouble and waste time, like Destiny USA, but instead a place where kids worlds are really being expanded upon in new, innovative, exciting ways.

When I was a teen this was the Mall to go to. Its so sad to see theres nothing there. I went to see a movie there and a matinee was $10.50!! I live near Oneida and matinee there is $6.00! The only thing to be honest thats keeping Shoppingtown going is the Regal. I think they should take a hint from what Fayetteville Mall turned into and turn it into a big shopping center with higher end food places keep the movie place or rebuild it, and get stores that maybe arent around the Syracuse area yet, or make it more of a theme place rides and stuff.

I use to come here as a kid, I have a lot of fons memorys of this mall but unfortunately its dying. Last time I was here it was like a ghost town on Saturday at 6. I had a chance to small talk with the security guard, apparently theres only 3 on a shift. Alot of the anchor stores have left, and a lot of the mall has turned into martial arts Dojos and small shops. I was happy to see that the water fetures are still working when I was there those allways where my favorites. Still has the best lazer tag arena in the area.

Shoppingtown Mall truly is a really great mall no doubt problem though its been mostly a ghost town some stores come in and replace other stores and other services in place of retail stores slowly but surely if they lowered the rents of what it would cost most of the stores which is just about all would replenish those stores with brand new stores wanting to bring their business their shoppingtown is a great place if you want to just go for a walk but its more like Ghost Town lower the rent bring business back

What can I say? This mall is not dead, it is gravely ill. In the pitiful food court, I saw the Docs, which looked good, but I settled on Chinese, I usually do. Ming Wok was not very good, oily, and flavorless--I should have had the pizza. Macys cleared out a lot of inventory, so I didnt bother looking for a robe in there. JC Penny had some ugly ones, and I couldnt find any in Sears. This is more like an indoor strip mall, more service businesses than stores. Destiny USA, here I come!

The only real thing theyre really where youre really enjoy yourself is just the movie theater they need more activities there maybe somewhere for kids that they can play maybe somewhere you know you could do more shopping but other than that its a bit boring but I love the movie theater and I love them and that works there you know he always makes you feel very welcome when you go to the movies theyre very interested in you coming there

Said to See the condtion of the mall going down hill you can tell the oweners dont care. A lot of empty spaces not clean like it once was. The stores that are Thier are not looking good. I mean most are junk stores taking up space half the time Thier closed. Someone that has a set of balls need to take it over and bring it back to its glittery looks again. It served the comminity well. It was a great place to shop sorry to See it go....

Its a dead mall basically with only a handful of stores left and only 2 places left in the food court. The theatre is still there and nice enough, but not as updated as some of the others. It is nice that its not crowded at all if there is a store you happen to want to go to these and there is a decent play area for small children that we visit in the winter months fairly often because its not as busy as other ones.

This is, unfortunately, a VERY classic example of a dying mall. There are very few stores here. There are possibly more fitness businesses (karate, gymnastics, etc.) here than actual stores. There are only two businesses selling food in the food court. Hopefully these dying malls will find a new niche in the economy soon, but things are not looking good for the Shoppingtown Mall at the moment.

This place has gone down hill over the years... Stores have drastically declined, and the place looks as uneventful and rundown as ever. All the good places in the food court have left, the stores have left (including Dicks Sporting Goods) and theres nothing but the movie theater there now really. Can we just tear that thing down yet and just have the strip mall it used to be?

Shoppingtown mall is a good town they really must lower the rents from whatever theyre charging for rent in order to get business to come back in here whatever it is they want you have to lower the rent while still paying the mega millions of dollars you owe in back taxes shoppingtown mall is Ghost Town not shoppingtown

The mall has few stores left in it, no more food court. It does however have a roller skating ring and indoor skateboard area. Still has a cinema with movies. And is a place to take lessons on anything. There are fencing classes comma gymnastic classes, dance classes and some sports. Not a palace to go to shop anymore

This was once a very beautiful mall, and the architecture is still beautiful because of its use of natural light. However, it now has a very empty ambiance, since most of the stores and restaurants are gone. It now mostly houses various services. However, Ive heard that plans are in the works for new ownership.

Extremely depressing place. Management gave up on this place and it shows. Most stores are gone. Ceiling leaks. Its more of an activity center now. There is the movie theater, gymnastics facilities, some martial arts studios and a smattering of shops that remain. Beyond that, there isnt much reason to go here.

if i was writing this review like 10 years ago i would have given it 4 or 5 stars not much to do here anymore its really sad because this used to be a really great mall i grew up going here. i think the only thing thats really keeping it alive is the movie theater they should just close it and make it a plaza

Its a struggling mall, but they are trying to pull through. Cloud City does great business, and the Improv theater shows are awesome. The food court has a couple of new places in it which are both great (Creole Soul and Stones Farm Fresh). It has all the necessities and a more personal experience for a mall.

Calling this a "mall" is honestly a bit deceiving, but that does not dilute my love for this place. There is no real foodcourt left, and very few big box office stores. Instead you will find more niche stores and a movie theater. Record stores, candle stores, and even an indoor roller scatting rink!
