I always thought Zumiez was an annoying mall tween hangout place designed to drain whatever money was left in parents wallets after watching a movie. Then my 12 year old found a longboard in the trash and wanted to rehabilitate it. The skateboard specialist (am sorry I did not get his name) spent close to an hour with us helping to pick out parts then installing them at no charge for labor. Total came to about 55 for new trucks and bearings, about 1/3 the cost of a new board.

Just bought some new sneaks and the three guys that helped me are some of the sweetest people. They were super knowledgeable about the store inventory and were happy to help me try on a ridiculous amount of shoes while we talked about our lives. They took time to explain whats in style and how to wear certain things. They are great employees and seem like all around great people!
