I was looking at books last night while texting, and the woman working there very rudely accused me of checking for cheaper peices online. I was shocked and told her i was texting, but she didnt believe me and said "you keep looking at your phone every time you look at a book" so i pulled up my history, shoved my phone in her face and asked her if she wanted to see what my internet history (which was all reddit and tumblr-nothing to do with books) at which point she apologized and i left. I have never been treated so rudely in a retail store, if i talked to customers like that where i work i would be fired. Ive worked retail for years and Ive always been trained to be polite and certainly not to make baseless accusations against customers. I would recommend Small World Books and Ricks Used Bookstore for used books in Rochester, the people who work in those stores have always been very nice and helpful to me, and i dont have to worry about texting or snapchatting or using my phone for any reason while im in their stores. If she feels so paranoid she should make a "no phone use in the store" policy, and see how her customers like that.

By far my favorite used bookstore in the area. The proprietor offers a hugely varied but highly organized collection, and all the books are in great shape. Ive never had a bad experience at Greenwood.
