All staff members here are awesome. My dog Apollo and I visit almost weekly, and everyone always greets him. Everyone is always willing to help if needed. Large inventory selection available, and high quality products. I am able to get everything I need for my dog here and not have to visit any other stores. Store is always clean and shelves well stocked. Grooming salon is also excellent. I have never had a bad experience there in the 4 years I have used them. Fast service and my dog is well taken care of. Theyre always happy to see him which makes me feel great leaving him there. Apollo and I visit the Riverhead Petco even when were not buying anything because its a wonderful place and we love visiting.

Probably one of the worst PetCo locations Ive been to. Maybe restock your free standing dog treats. Youre the only location that sells crumbled stale treats that people have to fish through to get whole ones. I went up to the cashier & she shook the bag to check inside my bag & all the treats I fished out got broken inside the bag & some came out. She shouldnt have shook so hard in the first place. Im not spending my money here anymore. Do yourself a favor & use another location.

Cheap pet food (everything else is way over priced), they match Internet prices (so the 20 min drive wasnt a loss), & nice staff (everyone had a tired but friendly staff). A real pet store though should have lots of clean tanks filled with many different types of freshwater fish...Its like the livestock was added as an afterthought. This is a company-wide thing though, not this particular stores fault. If I hadnt wanted to take a late drive, I woulda went to my local store.

I dont know what petco these other people have been to but its not riverhead. This place is a waste of space. Customer service here is pathetic. I just spent 25 minutes standing by the fish and not one employee even asked if I needed help. When I walked out 3 employees were standing at the register talking and joking around. If it wasnt for the Hampton Bays one this would be the worst petco I have been to. I will never spend another penny at any petco.

The workers were really helpful with helping me pick out food and litter food my new kitten! And they have all sorts of coupons and deals for new pets. Make sure to let them know if your planning on or have gotten a new animal so they can hook you up!

went to go pick up some aquatic plants today Terrible customer service no cashiers on duty waited AT LEAST 5 to 10 MINUTES CALLED Petco and one cashier finally showed up NOT A GOOD STORE TO BUY FROM OR GO TO IF YOUR IN A RUSH

Great place to get your pet supplies. Good prices. They take coupons - theirs and manufacturers. I would say the only negative would be stock issues. It seems the feline products are not as well stocked as the canine.

Not a fan of large Pet Store chains. But that being said..this one has most everything you need. Did see a lot of dead fish in the tanks. Not sure if thats not normal.
