Never again. Have a look at the pics I uploaded of John C.s handi-work. I should be sued for even having this train-wreck on my arm. Notice the one pic where the barbed wire goes through the skull. Yeah, I know...its my fault. Also look at the pic of the barbed wire with the white ink just blobbed into my arm. The shading done around the 3 skulls I got was atrocious and not even amateur. A little kid asked me if I rubbed charcoal onto my arm. Thats the "smokey look" he was going for. The skull with the nails is the crown jewel of bad tattooing. The shading is nonsense, the features are totally unrealistic and it looks like a 5th-graders doodle. Its one of the worst tattoos I have ever seen in my life and Im embarrassed its on MY arm. I showed my arm to 2 other tattoo artists; one of them almost vomited and the other gave me a number to a tattoo removal center and told me I should call at once. The good thing is I showed it to a third artist far away from Planet NY and he does great cover-up work and agreed to help fix this abomination. Id rather have my arm amputated than go around with this mess. This review is not for Planet NY as a whole, but for Johnny C. I dont know the other artists there, but even they would have to agree that this work is unacceptable and looks like someone rubbed a turd all over my arm. Again...Im sure its all my fault. Over-priced, over-rated and anyone Ive shown this to couldnt agree more with me. Ill take this review down if PNY gives me a refund.

Never in my life have I been so disgusted by a group of men before in my life. If the sign says they open up at 1:00 dont expect the door to open until at least 1:30. They tell you they cant make appointments over the phone although they can. When I arrived to get my tattoo they ignored me and another client and when I asked how long it would be until I was seen I was told atleast 3 hours. They also told me that any doctor would keep me waiting for 3 hours. I dont know which doctor they go to but I could walk into Medicus and be seen in less then 3 hours. They are cocky and full of them selves and to be honest over priced. After deciding this was not the place for me they told me good luck finding a place as good as them. Funny thing is I found a place nicer, cheaper and better. Its funny that a bunch of young kids tattoo for a couple years could be so full of themselves. A tattoo should be an experience so if your looking to be treated like crap by a bunch of kids that cant show up for work on time this is the place for you.

wow jessica.. i have to totally disagree... the... guys couldnt have been nicer.. was there for over 3 hours due to the size of the tat being done on another person i was with..... johnny did a hell of a job!!!!... very very respectful.. people came and went... very happy with the tats done.... walk ins and all... the place is immaculate.. believe me i checked.. im a nurse... the gal upstairs doing piercings was a sweetheart and very kind.. my piercing went very well. didnt hurt one bit.. and it was cartilage... id highly recommend this place to anyone.... prices arent bad considering the crap ones you could get cheaper... so... im sorry you felt otherwise.. but i felt i needed to say... excellent place.. and id go and am.. going again....

Overall not too good of an experience. Do not rely on their walk-in policy. Went there on 2 Saturdays in a row and was told both times they were already booked. The store opens at 12 and I was there at 12 with no other customers around. Both times I was told somebody called out. Frustrating! Eventually, I did get my tattoo done. The result looks average, positioning on my upper arm is off. I paid $240 for a 35 minute job. I scheduled another appointment and the appointment was cancelled due to a call out (3rd time). I was fed up and stopped by and picked up my deposit. My recommendation to the ownership: have a back-up plan when somebody calls out or do not advertise the walk-in days. I wont be back!

Put $100 down and waited for my appointment. Called a couple of days early to see the progress of the design. Was told I will see it the day of appointment. When I got there, I was showed the design by the girl at the front desk. When I told her I wanted to change some stuff, she went back to the artist and told him. He said he would not change anything. I said I would not be tattooed something I did not like. They would not change the design or give me back my $100. Horrible way of doing business. I would never go back there.

John did my tattoo. He was very patient and made any changes I wanted. He was very neat, organized and made me comfortable. I am in LOVE with the work he did. It looked better than the original copy I gave him. I am very pleased and I would definitely recommend anyone to use him. Thank you JOHN!!!!!

Very clean. Prices are slightly high, but I would rather pay more and know I wont be walking out with a disease. Ive gotten 2 piercings there, I really liked their former piercer...I have no idea who they have now. When I went for my industrial it was one of their tattoo artists that was my piercer...

Researched all day nipple piercings was so nervous after all I heard planet new York got me in right away no waits very clean. The piercer was awesome! Def recommend them and def going back! Thank you
