I went to Skin City to get my kids names on my wrists and I had a wonderful experience. I was given a book of lettering to look over and the tattooist discussed with me the best options that would look good given the place and size of the lettering. I finally chose a script and was immediately asked for ID. During the tattooing, I was given a lot of attention and before a needle ever touched me I was asked if I like the way it looked, to make sure the spelling was correct, and if I wanted any changes. Once we began I had an excellent conversation about children and literature and when done was given clear and explicit instructions on how to care for my tattoos, along with a hand out in case I forgot. Since I want another one that would be larger, I was told the fee is $125 an hour and have already made up my mind to go back there. I have received numerous compliments on the artwork and have recommended people to Skin City.

I have recieved all of my tattoos at skin city. I must agree with chad. They are infact probably the best shop all the way up through Albany and down to the city. everything is most def clean, the few artists that were there 3-4+ years ago that werent that great have moved on. The owner has over 20 years experience while everyone there feeds off each other and does the best possible job. They take pride in their work. If anyone got a scab it could have been from allergic reaction to a color, area sensitivity, or overall poor aftercare. However permanent blemishes resulting from any scab can most certainly be avoided if proper aftercare techniques are used. Anyone looking for a quality piece would be stupid to pass skin city. I have heard of some of the smaller shops bashing on the better ones in the area out of pure jealousy and envy of quality of work and quantity of business.

Made an appointment November 19th for December 26th only to be rescheduled (by the artisr) last minute for February 6th only to receive an email at 10pm the night before that the artist "felt he wasnt the right artist for the job." Tried calling the store for at least some explanation as to what that meant but was just told to come get my deposit. The artist wouldnt even apologize to me on the phone. Cool. This place is pretty unprofessional and the guys there I guess think they belong on ink masters or L.A. Ink because they are very smug people who think its a privilege to get a tattoo from them. Save your money and go somewhere else. You want cool people tattooing you, not smug a**holes wholl probably make fun of your tattoo behind your back

I first went to Skin City 18 years ago. Since then Ive spent 20-30 hours in Tonys tattoo chair getting 10 pieces by him, and have seen the Skin City employees ask 100+ people for their ID. Ive never seen them let anyone remotely young looking go without proof of age, so that review by Leah is suspect in my opinion. Ive also never once seen them raise the price on anybody after agreeing. Tony has always run a professional shop. None of my pieces have scabs because I know how to care for a tattoo. Bottom line- I have recommended Skin City to many friends, and will be back for more ink. The place is clean, the artists are talented and very good guys. I havent heard a negative thing from any "actual" customer in almost 2 decades.

My friend and I decided to get "best friend" tattoos spontaneously. I already have a few tattoos but wanted to find a great artist who was more convenient for me to get to. I found Skin City and I am delighted I did. My friend and I were walk ins. We wanted the same tattoo in the same location & the owner Tony was more than happy to help. The shop was clean, spacious, and from what I could tell the other artist were friendly. Tony did our tattoos & he did a wonderful job. Hes got a great personality and hes gentle with a needle ;) The price was reasonable and I have already booked an appointment to get tattooed by Tony again. Thank you Skin City for a wonderful tattoo experience!

I have been going to Skin City for years. They have always impressed me with the work they produce. I have NEVER walked away disappointed. All the artists there are extremely talented and know what theyre doing. The shop is clean and safe. Everything is legit with this place. All the artists work with you to give you the tattoo you exactly want. The owner, Tony, runs a great shop. I will keep going back for many years to come. If you want a beautiful tattoo that is done by a REAL tattoo artist that will last you a lifetime, then go to Skin City.

This is a very clean and safe shop. Ive only been there twice but each time all artist were helpful and personable. Both times I went it was for piercings most recently I went to get my tragus done. For my particular piercing they offered a variety of jewelry that I couldve gotten. Also you cant beat the price, you pierced and jewelry all for a fair price.

Went in recently to have a piercing(s) done - Darren was awesome. Professional, friendly, and made the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable.
