i had heard great things about this place and after reading all the reviews on here, i decided to give it a shot. i was originally between this place and one other tattoo parlor - but since the other place didnt have all the materials i needed for my tattoo (both uv and white ink), i knew that this would be the place that i was going to come to. still, i was nervous, as i wasnt exactly entirely sure what script i was going to get, only what i envisioned in my mind. not only did the tattoo artist take his time looking through pretty much EVERY SINGLE FONT they had in the computer with me (im a very meticulous and picky person especially when it comes to tattoos), but they welcomed me and never once did i feel judged or like they were trying to rush me into picking exactly what the specific design would be at all. all the workers there were so friendly, amicable, and it really shows that they take pride in and love their work. rock was willing to work with me in regards to the price, and sasquatch did a beautiful job with my drake script and owl tattoo. after taking a look at where drake has his owl tattoo placed on his back (ive been a huge fan of his from the beginning and ive considered the tattoo for two and a half years), he even helped me out the exact location where drake had his so i could put mine in the same spot, which was what i requested. they took their time with everything, were truly understanding, and had great senses of humor. i would easily recommend rock city tattoo to any of my friends and i couldnt be any happier or more excited at all with how the tattoo came out. i cant wait to show everyone i know. dont waste any more time - rock city will treat you the way you would hope a tattoo parlor would and will take their time helping you out with everything from start to finish. go here.

so heres my story, i call and ask to come in for a consultation, the owner sounds friendly so i gave it a shot and went in. So i go in and speak to the owner (rock) who actually doesnt even tattoo but somehow knows enough to come up with fees for them. the guy is nice and personable but dont let it mislead you. So i talk to Oscar and tell him that i wanted a piece that would blend in with my tribal on my arm, he reassures me it would, and that it would come out "mad hot". So he goes up to rock (the owner) and asks him for the price, and rock says it would take 5 hours and it would be about $500 and asks me if thats ok, i tell him money isnt a issue and all of a sudden he raised it to $600 (lol). but whatever i didnt care and made an appointment for the tat. so i go in and talk to oscar (hes really persuasive beware) and he tells me again its gonna look great blah blah. so long story short, oscar does my tat and it doesnt blend in at all with my tribal on my arm and im in the process of having it removed which will cost me a couple of thousand. i was in complete shock and depressed for a good month until i started of getting it removed, and finally getting rid of this awful thing that reminds me of this shady place everyday. please people beware, all these people care about is your money and dont care if it ruins your body.

If you are a female, do NOT go here for a piercing! I went for a navel piercing and the guy was a total creep and freaked me out. He wanted me to suck on a lollipop during the piercing because the sugar would "calm me down." I explained to him that Id had multiple piercings, no fear of needles, and was not nervous at all. He was so persistent that I put the dang lollipop in my mouth that I almost walked out. Then after the piercing he wanted me to turn around to look in the mirror while he was still sitting down, face level to my butt. I told him back up first. That was 6 months ago and I never considered reviewing the place until last night, when I went to have another piercing done at a shop in a neighboring town. While talking to this piercer about where Id gone before I mentioned Rock City and without me saying anything else, he immediately said, "Oh, is that guy creepy or what." I didnt have to say creep and he knew! So please, maybe if youre a dude youll be fine, but ladies, dont give your money to this pervert who just wants to check you out.

Best place to go for piercings! Roc is a very cool guy, the shop is comfy to the point where you kinda just want to stay and chill. I got my belly button pierced by roc, and he made me feel so calm. Im a nursing student and im very big on sterility. They have an autoclave for all the equipment, and the needle is un-packaged right in front of you. It made me very comfortable to know I was In good hands and went to the right place. I got my piercing on 12/20/13, the day after I got it done, I forgot it was there, normally people say the day after its very sore, but I was great. I loved it so much I kinda wish I had more things to pierce lol! But overall I really do recommend Rock city. I recommended it to my best friend and were going on her birthday for her bellybutton piercing! :] Oh and BTW. I didnt get a tattoo there but, the work that I saw being done while I was there looked great. Im thinking about going there for my next tattoo!

I recently got my industrial piercing at a different shop and a week or two after getting the piercing, one of my ball ends fell out! I looked up tattoo shops near by and found Rock City Tattoos and Body Piercings. After reading the reviews and having a phone call with the owner, Rock, I decided I would go there, and I think it was the best piercing decision I could make! When I arrived Rock was so welcoming and I felt really comfortable in the shop. He made jokes and engaged me in an interesting conversation. I ended up getting a double helix piercing on one ear, and two upper lobe piercings on each ear as well, and Rocky was nice enough to replace my industrial bar free of charge! Overall, If you are considering getting a piercing or tattoo, I recommend going to Rock City Tattoos and Body Piercing!

Ive been there twice, for a septum piercing and a bridge piercing. Both times were great, the shop is clean and welcoming and everyone is really friendly! Rock seems to really care about his work, which I think is a little unusual for piercers. In my experience, most tend to just do it because its a way to make quick cash. He is very fun to be around, and made me laugh so much I didnt even notice the pain. You can absolutely trust his recommendations for jewelry, placement, and aftercare. Im kind of extra wary of piercers, because so many seem to have no idea what they are doing. So If I trust Rock to pierce me, believe me, you can. I dont know about the quality of the tattoos as I have never had one done here, but I would recommend this to anyone looking for a piercing!
