This place is what I imagine all stores used to be like before the big box store came into being. Thats not a bad thing, but yes, its a little disorganized, no theres no one greeting you at the door, and no, they might not have everything you could want. But as someone just getting back into knitting and not wanting to shell out $15 for a skein of yarn to practice on, this is definitely a place Ill be returning to. They have a rather large selection of basic yarns, from cotton to the softer, more expensive stuff. And I picked up 4 skeins for about $32. Not bad. The guy at the front was perfectly pleasant, so I didnt have any customer service issues, but I could see how the inconsistent operating hours could be confusing. If youre looking for crafting supplies but dont want to pay an arm and a leg or trek all the way up to the UWS for Michaels, definitely come here.
