Whenever I am in Brooklyn I keep an eye out for fabrics shops and came across Silk Roads. The store was very well light and as you enter a courteous clerk is available for any questions. My daughter was like a kid in a candy store with its abundance of trims, which she likes to use for head bands. I loaded up on various belt buckles since they are hard to come by. As for the fabric... I was so overwhelmed with the large selection of suiting fabric and decided my next trip there would be dedicated to purchasing suiting fabric. A much visit Fabric store.

Ive been at the store before. Didnt have a problem until today when I went in for supplies to make a skirt and found that a spool of thread was added to my purchase without my knowledge and was charged for it. I thought I had made a miscalculation until I realized the extra charge at the bottom of the receipt. Wouldve been great otherwise.

If you like embroidered or sequined fabrics, hit this spot. Lovely textured fabrics, some of which I have seen in Manhattans fabric district selling for 4x the price, I kid you not. Good selection of trims, linen also. Prices VERY reasonable, downright cheap, compared to other spots. Come early before the crowd :)
