Relatively poor offering of a grocery store. The only things they really have going for them are prices (albeit on low quality items) and proximity to NE Ithaca and Cayuga Heights. Most people will just drive to Wegmans but if you just have to have eggs in 5 minutes you must go to Tops. The quality of their produce, ready to eat foods, and meats is awful. Many products are damaged, going bad, or just low quality. I purchased a caesar salad there once that had been made that same day, and it was full of brown mushy lettuce. Just no quality control or standards. Selection of other items is poor. Just stay away unless you are at the utmost end of need.

On the plus side are convenience and mostly friendly employees. Deli meats are plentiful and Tops carries a few items that Wegmans does not (Heidelburg bread and many teas). But, a lot of the produce is of a lesser quality, and aisles and entire store are packed with extra displays which I do not like. Every aisle has multiple extra displays which narrow the aisles and can even make it tough to reach the item youre looking for. Every single check out lane has an extra display at the end so you cant unload your cart readily.

Ive watched the selection at TOPS steadily improve over the years, both at this location and in Cortland. Its nice not to have to go all the way down to Greenstar or Wegmans to get items that some might consider specialty but are everyday staples for me. There is some organic produce (still room for improvement) and a growing variety of non-dairy products that I very much appreciate. Im hoping to eventually see increased variety in the prepared food selection.

A decent sized supermarket, but definitely on the more expensive side. You would most likely find any food related products you need here, but going to target would mostly likely be the better option. Never had many problems with the service, helpful when asked. The plus side is that it is opened 24 hours, so you can go at 3:00AM if you need an energy drink for all nighters.

The staff is so rude and their self checkouts are always slow. Whenever a question is asked of their staff, eyes are rolled and they answer the question rudely. Their gas points are a complete scam. They try to be like wegmans but theyre a complete joke. Also, beware this place willingly sells expired food. I cant believe this place is so poorly run.

I like to shop at Tops for a couple reasons. One is they donate money to school organizations if you purchase Tops brand products. Second, they have aisles that are clearly labeled. Finally, they do not have too many choices which is overwhelming at times. Oh and they have very friendly employees.

Fairly average as stores go. The staff is very friendly, but the produce tends to scare me a bit. I go down to Wegmans when I need a lot of fresh produce. If you come here while its busy expect to wait in line 20 minutes to check out, as there are never enough cashiers during the rush.

This TOPs is the good one in Ithaca. Good selection, good produce, only busy around 4:30-5:30pm Mon-Fri. Decent selection of organic, good bread selection in bakery, good fresh pasta selection near the deli. Clean, brightly lit.

Good meat, mediocre to good produce but watch out for the slower moving produce. Ive purchased garlic that, when I got home and broke it open, was rotten. Handy locations and well stocked for a medium sized supermarket.

The staff were super nice and opened a lane for me even though it was late and the cashier was very careful to protect the eggs and to wrap the cleaning supplies separately from the food items.

Yikes! Well stocked but theft issues around gift cards made our visit strange. You can buy 2 $25 gift cards with credit, but $50 gift cards and above are cash only. What a hassle.
