I have no idea how to rate Wegmans because there are things that are awesome about it and things that absolutely suck about it. Awesome: Great food selection.. you can find almost any kind of esoteric thing here, from produce to baked goods to meat to dry and international goods. The beer selection is good (although not as good as Ithaca Coffee Company tavern or Finger Lakes Beverage) and Im not kidding when I say that Wegmans has yet to be stumped no matter what Im looking for. I thought I had finally found something they dont carry when I couldnt find Devonshire cream in the British aisle. Nope, I was just looking in the wrong place. They have like 3 varieties of it in the cold case by the cheese. Suckage: Expensive, so expensive. Nothing really is ever on sale, or anything you want anyway. My total here is easily twice what it would be for the same amount of stuff in other cities. Stop in for a few things, $100. Shop for the week, $200, and thats just for meats, dairy, and produce. Also: At pretty much any time of the day, Wegmans is jam-packed with all kinds of people, including those who are, shall we say, lacking social graces. Id recommend going very early or in the middle of the night unless you enjoy being cut off and having carts rammed into your ankles every 5 seconds for a half hour.

By far and away, the best supermarket ever! I have a friend working there, and Wegmans benefits are superior to any market/big box store I know of. Common to see differently abled people employed. About food, the pastries are unreal. Huge selection of cheeses. Vast craft beer selection. Very good sushi, great hot foods section. Very extensive, inclusive international foods. The complaints I have seen listed here do not agree in any way with my experience, which begin with Wegmans opening in Ithaca. The feelings for the store among people I know are almost cultish. If you have not been to a Wegmans, check one out. Youll be glad. (BTW, I have no connection with the store – except the aforementioned friend – in any way beyond being a customer.)

When I first moved to an area near Wegmans, I heard the hype and was like, "please, its a grocery store." But I now see how wrong I was. Wegmans is sooo nice. Its literally the highlight of my week. I love the produce, I love the amazing selection, I love the cheeses. The prices are sometimes a little higher than other places, but not across the board and not if you buy family packs. The generic brand products are quality, the staff are friendly and helpful, the app and website are pretty great too. You can use them to virtually clip coupons onto your shoppers club card so they automatically ring up at checkout and you can see all your receipts and track your purchases. Basically Wegmans is the best ever. 6 out of 5 stars.

Probably the best grocery store in the world, Wegmans has a huge selection of fresh produce, great meal starters, everything you would expect in a grocery store and more. Wegmans is large, clean, and well-maintained. Prices for groceries are always reasonable, although the prepared food hot bars are a little pricey. The reserved parking for pregnant women/people with small children, and the free in-store childcare center are huge pluses for parents, and the in-store pharmacy is excellent. Bathrooms are clean and pleasant. Checkout lines are rarely too long, and the multiple self-checkout aisles make grabbing just a few things quick and easy, even on the weekend. I love this store.

Ahh the fabled Wegmans of Ithaca. Amazing grocery story but surprisingly I find a lack of options for some brands as well as their decision to not stock Redbull in the quick to go prepared food section, opting to push their own brands of beverages here. I get itn more profit, still annoying for us that want to grab a quick energy drink we love while stopping in quick. The students in town can and will ransack certain good items quickly too, so do not be surprised if they are out of something you want all of a sudden. Still they will cook a lobster, steak or almost any cut of meat they sell for you while you shop, so thats a major plus.

Came to the store with my girlfriend. We are both 30y.o. Among other things we bought some beer. She left her id in the car and I had mine with me. So cashier didnt want to sell beer to me because she didnt have her ID with her and made he go to the parking lot to get it. The whole way of their communication was very disrespectful. They might just assume that any person standing next to you is underaged and your friend. I have to say that all this policy does is making people angry. What if she left ID at home, means they cant sell alcohol to people who have their ID with them!

Wegmans sets the bar for all other grocery stores in almost any category you can think of. Awesome food bar, subs, and sushi. Extensive fruits and veggies selection. Large selection of cheeses, international foods, and fresh baked good. Wegmans will not be the cheapest place for lots of items, however, they do have decent prices on lots of family pack items. In general, the store is massive, clean, and the staff are friendly. Also, they sell Ithaca trash tags.

As a resident of NYC, I really miss my time at Wegmans while I was in school. There is the best mix of specialty food, great service, and every grocery need you could have. The prices are not as cheap as bargain basement grocery stores, but it truly is worth every penny. Unlike other store specific brands, when you get the Wegmans branded items, they really are top notch and replace a lot of the name brands in my cooking.

Yes they have everything and their service is good. But spending an hour in this particular Wegmans(I have not found this to be true of the other Wegmans in the area) is physically painful. The place is always full of mind numbingly slow people and your shopping time is doubled. For anyone on a budget it is way too expensive. Even with coupons we have found that most other shopping options are cheaper for a family.

This isn’t the newest or largest Wegman’s out there, but it is still Wegmans. Therefore it gets 5 stars. Great selection of fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, bakery, basically anything you could ever eat. With the amount of students from Ithaca College and Cornell University the specialty, prepared, and international food sections are stocked really well and carry all sorts of stuff. Don’t shop at Tops, ever!

My first ever visit to a Wegmans. Visiting Ithaca, finger lakes. Amazing, unexpected experience. Outstanding selection of cheese including local blue cheeses. Organic produce was available. Peaches are in season and I thought ours were farm fresh. The only thing missing - wine. They have the largest selection of beer, stout, ipa...i have ever seen in a single store, we are visiting from nyc, long island.

This Wegmans became my go to place for packing daily picnics while visiting nearby state parks. Ive been to other Wegmans but the customer service and selections at this location were both truly outstanding. This store offers everything from freshly prepared foods to dine-in options. They have a great bakery and cafe, as well as an international cheese section and fresh butcher service. Worth the visit.
