This place is ok. I love the fact that they have fresh food options like a open salad bar and chicken both friend and grilled. They also have cold few otpions like sandwiches or ready made salads. This is a great convenience if you need something quick for lunch or dinner. Their grocery selection is the same as you would expect in any store. I like that they have non dairy options as well for milk and ice cream. However the customer service is a hit and miss. Sometimes they are on it and sometimes they are not. The hours say 6am-12am but many times they have closed before 12 or opened well after 6 because of staffing issues. The prices are ok, but not competitive. This is a place I shop when I need something quick and dont have time to shop around for the best bargain. Overall rating a strong 3 stars.

This store has some SERIOUS problems with personnel in the Deli Department. Rude and Belligerent best describes my experience there on Monday evening, 5/23/11 at about 7:30 p.m. The short, Black woman who was working the counter made it perfectly clear that she resented being expected to offer service to another customer and me. The tossed product as if it were trash, and if looks could kill... Id be dead right now. I didnt speak to the woman, at all, but simply walked away without making my purchase. It will, indeed, be a cold day in Hell before I darken the door to this store again, and thats a real shame because this store is otherwise a good place for shopping.

I have shopped at the Hampton Farm Freshs for years. I recently moved to Newport News and this is the closet to my house so I tried it twice. I wont be shopping here again after the last time I was there. Not only were the lines long, the cashier was extremely rude! She tossed my steaks around, never gave me my Farm Fresh bag discount even when I told her how many I had. I had to ask to get my steaks wrapped and she had the nerve to tell me where the wrap was so I would wrap it myself! The prices are too high for poor customer service!

This Farm Fresh is the worst and does not deserve the one star i have to rate it. When checking out i had to ask the cashier was she open the light was on and she was reading a magazine paying no attention to customers. Then i asked for a price check on an item and she said "thats what it says" very rude. Its false advertising when a sign in your store says one thing but you want me to pay a jacked up price for a product at the register. Its call DOING YOUR JOB to do a price check. Never again im a TRADER JOES customer for life!!!

I go to this location for a Boston locally grown lettuce they carry but the staff is rude. Today after getting a basket full of groceries had to bag my own groceries. The cashier did not speak to me or say thank u for bagging my own food. Not even a have a nice day. All of the cashiers at this location act like its a problem for them that you shop there. Also there are long lines and normally only one register open. My receipt says 6/17/17-store 0231- 10:52:57 oper 340.

I went there to buy cannoli on my birthday. The cannoli wasnt filled, just a dollop of filling was placed on each end of the pastry. The filling wasnt the traditional ricotta cheese and confectioners sugar filling; it was cream cheese frosting, like the type they use on carrot cake. If it is too much trouble to make a pastry correctly, then why bother at all?

Whoever answers the phone is very unprofessional. She answered the phone and sped through her greeting. I asked to be transferred to the Pharmacy, then she hung up. When I called back, she was laughing and yelling at someone to "not take [her] pens." Someone else had to grab the phone from her to assist me. Very unprofessional.

Its alright for a once every couple of months visit. Theyre trying, but could use a few improvements. Could be better organized and the prices could be a little more reasonable. Ill probably give them another try, because they are trying but Id love to see those updates when I do.

I drop by to get Lime Diet Coke almost weekly, and early Sundays for fried chicken wings to take to church maybe every 5 or 6 weeks. Employees have always been courteous, and the wings have always been ready, fresh, and delicious.

Nice nearby grocery store to pick up one off things. Its conveniently located to my office and its hardly busy - so checkouts are quick once you learn the store layout.

Ive only had to make a trip here a few times, but its a decent grocery store. Its not very big so dont expect a huge variety to select from.
