This is from a neighbor who use to spend well over $350/wk there. Well I use to spend that much until I found myself fighting with drug addicts over the meat that was left after all the thieves left the store with stolen meats. I have complained until hell froze over about how they are destroying this neighborhood by allowing these scum to enter this neighborhood , when we as its neighbors suffer the residual effects of their deeds. Shoppers refuses to even touch the druggies that steal their products and the neighborhood suffers from their complete lack of attention. I even gave them phone numbers for retired police at a firm who will not only stop them but use physical force and then go to court to prosecute them. They still refused to do one thing. Their manager Gino will not even take our phone calls anymore. He could care less judging from his lack of action. This store needs to close or upgrade their procedures for the capture of thieves. Besides all of this their fruit is terrible, I never touch their meats because of the statements made above, and their prices are way high to compensate for the stolen products. All true, nothing fabricated, I stand behind all of what I just said, Peter Creager, neighbor. I now shop at Harris Teeter, which is a much better store, more products, meats are outstanding and they do not allow drug addicts, since they have real cops hired to make arrest there.

What an awful place to shop... I cant wait until the Harris Teeter comes in, maybe the Shoppers will be forced to act like a real grocery store. Their produce is usually either rock hard and completely unripe or rotting. If you walk through the produce area, you can smell fermentation from stuff just sitting. Whoever said in one of the other reviews that their "produce department is always great" must work for the store. They dont carry a very wide selection of items, either. The one good thing that I can say is that they have great hours: open until 11pm every night.

This is a passible grocery store, but if I have the energy I will always walk up the street to Harris Teeter instead. You would think that given the atmosphere and quality of the food at shopper that it would at least be cheaper than HT, but it rarely is. Occasionally there will be good deals at this store, but more often than not there is little to no meat or produce on sale, and the full price is often a bit high for the quality of the product. All of that said, the staff are usually friendly, and the shopping center has parking and a few other useful stores.

This Shoppers was completely renovated in early 2011. It used to be terrible (I live in the neighborhood and I used to choose to drive out of the neighborhood just to avoid shopping here) but now it is really fine. The produce has improved a lot and the store doesnt have that funky smell anymore. Its no luxury organic market, but its definitely passable as a neighborhood grocery store! Thank you Harris Teeter for coming to the neighborhood and forcing Shoppers to clean up its act!!

Location is excellent, prices are cheep, the employees are friendly but usually understaffed pretty slow. If you are looking for a better selection or fresher items go to Harris Teeter down the street, but for convince and price Shoppers works.

I use the Amazon locker here from time to time and its a great choice for smaller packages. Plenty of parking and conveniently located. Ive never purchased any groceries.

Clean and efficient, doesnt have some of the exotic food other stores have but they do have pretty much all the food most people cook with

This is the nicest Shoppers Ive ever seen. Newly refurbished, they even have organic products. Downside is meats, but produce is decent

The produce selection is terrible. The fruits and vegetables usually arent ripe but this is all overshadowed by its phenonimal prices.

Not Harris Teeter...and thats a good thing. The lines are short. They will have the staples you will need and much more.

Rotten food and people. I instantly feel depressed when I walk inside . I recommend Harris Teeter down the ave instead.

Large selection. Great deals. Just make sure to check the expiration because they decrease prices on past due items.
