Very, very good service from, Jay. Ask for him, he takes his time with you and makes sure that you get the best possible shoe/ sneaker for foot. He takes a personal interest in you and what you need. The other staff is very nice and helpful too. This place carries quality merchandise (but you pay for it) with great customer service. Id give, Turnpike Comfort Footware 5 stars but I dont particularly like the fact that the people who own the place are not personable. They dont greet you when you walk in and they dont say, "thank you" when you leave having spent $800 on shoes. The least they could do is give you a free bag or umbrella (or at the very least thank you for your business) after spending that kind of money. Other than that, very good place. **Update on 11/9/16** After reading the above review one of the owners sent a letter of apology to me as well as a nice bag of gifts to make up for the fact that I wasnt greeted or thanked during my visit. I really appreciated this gesture and feel that more places should be taking their customers and their customers opinions seriously like, TCF has. Due to the fact that they actually took the time to read the review, respond and promptly send me free merchandise as a gesture of good will Im updating this review to reflect a more accurate picture of this quality and customer oriented business.

I have been going to Turnpike Comfort Footwear for more than 15 years. In fact, it is pretty much the only shoe store at which I shop. When I first visited the store to have orthotics made, my son was still in a stroller; he is now in college and all these years I have relied on both the shoes and the staff at Turnpike. In particular, one of the owners, Steve, has been incredibly helpful. In addition to his expert knowledge of shoes, orthotics, and feet, he is a terrific listener and a really smart diagnostician. When he is figuring out a solution to a problem, it truly seems as though I can see his mind at work. I have had lifelong problems with my feet from a childhood injury and Steve understood intuitively that I care mostly about performance and comfort but also about style. For years, he encouraged me to have new orthotics made; when I finally agreed to it, I was experiencing a lot of discomfort. Steve solved each of the issues I complained about with the new orthotics, leaving me with a sense of having been utterly transformed--free of pain and able to walk for miles. I cant recommend the store--and Steve--highly enough! I should add that there is a wide, very nice selection of shoes.

Helpful staff, they know their stuff. I have plantar fasciitis and i found what I needed plus some recommendations that they had. They told me more about what to do than the orthopedist. I feel better now. Thank you.
