Forest Hills Hardware Store is the only local store that sells hardware goods in the Forest Hills vicinity other than Duane Reade, Rite Aid, or the generic chain stores. Ive visited on multiple occasions, to buy cooking pans, duck tape, plunger, house key copies, and whatever I need in an instant. Once my toilet clogged (happens when you ate heartily the night before) and thankfully Forest Hills Hardware Store was open at night. This store provides all the tools and gadgets you need to replace, repair, and enhance all fixtures in the home for a reasonable price. The only complaint I have is some of the items look like they are from the last decade. Before you buy I suggest you inspect the quality of the item. Other than that, two thumbs up to this hardware store for servicing the area!

Very, Very Rude!!! Stay away! UPS left my package there because I wasnt at my apartment. When I arrived to pick it up, the guy had closed the store 10 minutes earlier than its closing time. I told him politely that my package was inside and he brushed past me roughly and told me the store was closed and "too bad." We exchanged words, and I was shocked at how aggressive this man was. He really resented me pointing out that his store was closed earlier than advertised. Im sending a complaint to UPS requesting that they do not under any circumstances send my packages to this store. I also would encourage consumers to take their business to other hardware stores on Queens Boulevard where the service and hardware is much, much better.

The guy was so freaking rude. I saw him throw every customers package everywhere, including mine. While I told him my package is fragile, he gave me a face. Then I told him I got two slips for picking up, he doesnt even care to check my Second package and told me he doesnt care at all!! If guy want to be an UPS drop off place, you can not tray your customer and those package like that! Try your best to avoid this place for UPS drop off and pick up or you might end up having the same story as mine.

Do not Shop here ! Inventory is very old, the paint has all separated and most other items no longer work due to age ! Returns are impossible because it is impossible to understand them, and they lied about everything, from having a paint shaker to be accomodating with exchanges. As a retailer of over 30 years, They are the reason mom and pop stores no longer exist, Decietfull and dishonest, no refunds and 3 days on exchanges, which is impossible to work with. STAY AWAY FROM THESE JOKERS !

They sell you crap tools then when they break an hour later they expect you to buy another one. Everything here is discontinued crap not meant to get any reasonable job done. Take the extra trip to Home Depot its worth it to have quality tools for the same price!

This is a pathetic store. They do not care for the customer. Keep away from this creepy store. Waste of your time. Continental on Metropolitan is really professional.

They WERE convenient and helpful. Now they seem to be on REMOTE control. They do not know their inventory and cant be bothered with helping you.
