I go to Mazzone Hardware a lot. I like to patronize small businesses if I can, and although both Lowes and Home Depot are in walking distance, if its something that Mazzone carries, thats where Ill go. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. You walk in there and ask what the best 3/8" anchor is to hold over 100 lbs downward pressure in a joist (from the ceiling), and theyll pull the part off the rack and hand it to you. Ask the same question at Lowes, and youll talk to seven people before you realize that they havent a bloody clue what youre even talking about, and hand you some generic drywall anchor. Theyre always friendly, theres never a line, and during the summer at least they have a nice little gardening section that has all the basics. Highly recommended.

Had a bad experience at the Lowes near there (click my profile to view the review), and decided to walk home with the useless $50 lock in hand. Walked past this place that I didnt know was there, and since I still needed a few bits and pieces, I went in. While there, I asked the clerk about the missing piece for my $50 lock. He didnt know, and took me over to their locksmith, who was able to find a replacement part. Even though I didnt buy the lock there, they were very helpful and saved me a lot of money.

If you walk into a Home Depot or Lowes, youll be LUCKY if you can get someone to help you in what your looking for. And even IF someone does help you, they will either give you some wrong information about the item OR ask you to speak to someone else. These guys ALWAYS give you the right answer and are always willing to help. Prices are pretty reasonable too given the area. Even the store owner is walking around the store to make sure everybody is being helped out. Very cool place...

I have purchased two Big Green Eggs from this location (as they are an authorized dealer) and have had a fantastic experience each time. This last time I worked with Liz and she made sure that I got everything I needed and was very patient when I asked for prices for each add on item . My new egg was assembled and delivered for free. Couldnt be happier with their service.

This store is a gem. Ive lived in the neighborhood for just about five years, and Ive been coming here just as long. Ive never been disappointed. The service is amazing. Every single person makes you feel like a priority, and a sense of care just oozes out of every ounce of this spot. This is no ordinary hardware store. If only every business was run this way.

Solid local hardware store. There are always plenty of people to help you, though lately Ive found their help less helpful than previously... when i asked about a trap for pantry moths, they gave me something that shouldnt be used "in homes occupied more than 4 hours a day." But its still well stocked and close.

Its impossible to find anything here. Luckily there are a dozen employees around at any given time, and they are super knowledgeable and helpful, so Ive never had to leave without what I needed. Really solid nursery selection too, for a store of this size.
