So disappointing. I have been buying wine and liquor here pretty regularly for 6 years. Theyre right next to the subway stop and what could be easier? Theyve gone through some ownership changes and remodeling, and there are still a lot of sparse gaps on the shelves. I can live with that. Heres the problem: turns out their new "loyalty program" is a total bait and switch. You cant use a loyalty discount on anything thats "on sale." And just about everything in the store is permanently "on sale" (which Im pretty sure is against state laws), so you cant use the discount on anything. You can use it on a quart of Cynar or a gallon of Kahlua, but not anything midrange or top shelf, and on none of the wines I would ever buy. Its a pretty poor excuse for a "loyalty" program--some loyalty!

Spent a few hundred dollars there on Friday for a party. Called today because I had a magnum bottle of liquor left over that I wanted to exchange or get a refund on & they wouldnt allow me to do either because I misplaced my receipt. Im a new & 1st time customer who spent $400 my first time there & got no help. I understand I need my receipt but unfortunately misplaced it, went shopping there for a party last minute & they didnt even try to help me at all. Sorry wont be shopping there again! Now Im stuck with a $100 bottle that I dont even drink. My local liquor store would have refunded me or exchanged it without a question!

Lousy experience using their deceiving website. I ordered nine bottles of mixed wines on 12/18/16 for Christmas gifts. I proceeded to purchase them via credit card on their website, or so I thought i did. The reason is that this is not a real e-commerce site and they have no inventory checking and your order is not guaranteed of stocked inventory. As of 12/25/16 they only fulfilled half my order only after I went to the store to complain and found out the real deal how they operate. Go to the store in person or order online elsewhere.

Decent selection of wines Keep an eye on their prices though. They have some really cheap bottles of wine that they mark up (standard for most NYC wine shops). There is one Ive seen sold at Aldi for $3 that Grand sells for $9. If you know your wines, you can find the "bargains." Grand still doesnt come anywhere close to Trader Joes Wine shop at Union Square in terms of pricing.

The website is outdated with old prices that dont match in store, they dont deliver, and they wont allow ordering online for pickup or CC transactions over the phone. In a city where you can pretty much get anything delivered to your door, this place makes it very inconvenient when you are short on time.

Most of the wines in stock are of poor quality (and overpriced). What little good quality wine they have, sells out pretty quickly and they fail to replenish it for months (even after you request it). I am convinced this business secretly wants to go out of business!

I would definitely give this place no star for not picking up the phone to speak to customers and for advertising Little Penguin and not having it when going to purchase. Fix up you website so that potential customers dont have to pay a toll and waste their time.

Terrible service. Employees act like they are overworked, underpayed and untrained to deal with the public. I had to ask one young lady three times before she came to help me, and when she came over, left before i finished asking her what i was looking for.
