I called and asked about a specific screw. I needed an M7-1.0 without a hex head. I described it to him on the phone and when he asked what head I said anything other than hex. He said he had several to choose from, so we drove the 20 minutes to get there. When we arrived we could not find what we were looking for. I asked a lady in the front and told her I called about the M7 screw. She said that Art took care of it. She radioed to him and he said that he did not pull the item because there are several dozen to choose from. He then asked it I needed to be shown where they are. He came to the front and brought me to the case with the M7 screws. I said those are all hex head and he said, yeah, thats all that we have. I dont understand why he would waste our time and I am very disappointed in this store. I will not be back.

I have been shopping at Warrenville Hardware for years. I cannot disagree more with one of the other reviews. The staff has always been the most helpful. George, John, Art and Bill know the products they sell and offer some of the best customer service. Bill has more nuts, bolts, screws to choose from than any other hardware store in the area. Whether you want metric or standard, or is that stainless or galvanized, Bill has more than likely got it. Patti and Joanne have helped my wife pick out numerous paint colors that we naturally purchased from Warrenville. Patti knows the Benjamin Moore colors better than anybody and has assisted us with blinds as well. This is how a business remains a hallmark for decades!

This place is horrible. Came in to ask about paint colors and I was told if I dont purchase paint here they can not help even look at colors ( keep in mind no one was here, they were just talking in the front). I had a simple question and even complained to the manager--the managers response was pretty much your wasting our time and money by not purchasing here-- NEVER coming or recommending them... RUDE!

Excellent hardware store, very good service. Its been run by the same owner for decades. They dont of course, have the inventory of a big box store, but you can get knowledgeable help immediately. Very good paint department. Their prices are more reasonable than previously, and even the cashiers are friendlier.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Always easy to get help and they know what they are talking about. Everything from Weber grills, Benjamin Moore paint, power tools, plumbing and electrical supplies. Why fight the parking and crowds at the big box stores when they have everything here at competitive prices.

Needed to get a couple of panes of glass cut to repair a broken window. George was very helpful and knowledgeable. This was the most pleasant shopping experience I have had in quite some time. A nice change from the inexperienced workers at the big box stores. Will definitely be back again.
