Absolutely HORRIBLE! Never again! I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs when deciding where to buy your new/used car! My wife and I bought a used Enclave from this dealership in December of 2013. 3/26/14 car went in the shop. Recalled part as well as the heated driver’s seat didnt work. Crap warranty and they wanted $800 to fix it. 5/20/14 in the shop again. another recall and electrical issues. 9/17/14 my birthday and the car is once again in the shop for a few days due to yet another recall as well as some electrical failures with the car. 12/9/14 in the shop yet again. Steering and suspension had failed. Also some fluid/oil leaking. Great! 2/11/15 in the shop again. Check engine light was on. Seemed to be electrical issues and ignition coil needed to be replaced. They were going to charge us $400 for it but I was not having it. I called the owner Michael Salerno and left him a voicemail but he never called me back. 2/24/15 in the shop again! Other coil went bad. 2/27/15 and again in the shop. This time the rest of the coils needed to be replaced. I then spoke with Michael Jr directly! While in Michael’s office I had quite a lengthy conversation with him about our car and any type of resolution that could be brought to the table. He said to me that this car was only going to get worse and he suggested that the best thing to do was to get us into a different car with the same payment bracket. I asked what I would do until then with a warranty that means nothing that I’m paying for monthly. He said to me and I quote “If anything goes wrong with this vehicle while we are trying to get you in a new one, then bring it back, bring it to my attention and we will take care of it”. So I asked “Pretty much you guys are going to be my warranty and I shouldn’t have to worry until I get into a different car”? He said and I quote “Yes”. 3/31/15 In the shop again! This time let’s add the harsh shifting delays and fuel injection service that they nailed us for! 5/28/15 our AC stopped working. I called and spoke with Michael Jr. and he told me not to worry, to just bring it in and they would take care of it. 6/3/15 my wife went there with the car and she had called me letting me know that it would be $305 to do it. She said they had spoken to Michael Salerno Sr. and he had offered to eat half the cost. I told her to have Michael call me. Instead I get a call from a Terry. She was calling on Michael’s behalf and said that Michael is still going to honor the offer of half the cost to do the repair. I then told her and I quote “So the meeting that Michael Jr. and I had doesn’t matter? That whole deal was a lie and bulls**t!? Just like the finance guy lied to me about the warranty? Just like AJ is giving me the run around waiting for him to get back to me for almost 4 months on a car???” I then told Terry “Tell Michael that his offer sucks a** and I expect a call back from him”! She says and I quote “I will give him the message”. I immediately took my car to Dover Dodge and had a real sales guy look at my situation, address it, take my financing application, showed me a few vehicles, choose a brand new vehicle submit everything to the banks, got approved and walked out with a new car. This was all the proof I needed to see that Salerno is not only filled with a bunch of liars, but that their sales team represents exactly what the owner portrays himself to be – A DISHONEST JOKE! 6/4/15 still no callback from Michael senior but Im in a new car thanks to a real dealership! Steer clear from Salerno Dealerships! Firm warning!!!!

I started out in search of a specific vehicle on the internet that was GM certified. I found what I was looking for at Jim Salerno, so I called. AJ helped me and he was wonderful. I was probably a pain in the neck, I know I felt like one with all the calls to and fro. After seeing so many online and then speaking with the various dealerships to find that the price was plus $x deposit or there was some other catch, when I spoke with AJ and found that there were no gimmicks or catches, I was relieved to find a dealership that cared about integrity. AJ worked with me for about 3 weeks (my doing, not the dealership), was friendly and helpful all the way. He did not pester me the way some other sales people did with calls every few days, he let me contact him unless he was calling me back as promised. After I was finished with my spanish inquisition, He answered all my husbands questions, too. It is hard for my husband to find a salesperson who he likes and trusts, and he found that in AJ. The whole time he had the ball in my court, and made this a pressure-free, hassle-free, stress-free experience. The pictures posted of the vehicle online were extensive and gave me a very good idea of the condition of the car, but I was still a little nervous about it since I was buying it without having seen it myself, especially after having seen a few in person that the pictures taken by the dealer looked great, but the car in person was less than appealing. I live about 2-3 hours away (traffic) so we did almost everything over the phone and email. When we showed up, the car was ready and all that had to be done was sign the paperwork. My fears evaporated when I walked up to see the car for the first time. It is immaculate, inside and out, and runs like new. The business manager, Jonathan, was great also. He offered us different options for extended warranties through GM, and even though we werent planning on getting one, there was one that fit our needs and we bought it. The warranty is also hassle-free and completely transferrable, which made perfect sense, and we were not pressured into buying it, but informed of how it works and why it is a good idea. When all the paperwork was done, AJ sat in the car and went over where everything was and how everything operated, and asked if I had any questions, joking that I had so many over the phone and had none now, especially because I was so excited. I really had asked him everything I could think of before going to buy it, so I had none. He said thank you and goodbye, and we were on our merry way. I couldnt be happier with the entire experience. I would gladly take the drive back to Jim Salerno again to purchase another vehicle, and would ask for AJ again. My husband even said when he is ready to trade in his truck, he will be calling AJ to order one. We got a great deal on a certified pre-owned car and a great experience to go along with it. It was well worth the trip not to be hassled or harassed.

Ill premise this review by saying that Jim Salerno Dealership exceeded all my expections! I did my research on the GMC Terrain and of course searched for the best prices online and I was immediately drawn to Jim Salerno. First, because of their outstanding price. They beat all competitors. Sounded to good to be true... yes, especially when I was able to obtain a savings gift certificate which said would save me almost 3,000 off the MSRP. But I decided to contact the online sales representative Dan Diprimo and found that it was in fact a valid savings certificate and would be able to utilize it to lower the price of the truck I was interested in. I was immediately excited, but wanted to compare shop in person. I went to a dealership near where I live and quickly learned they were not willing to price match. This of course made me more interesting in Jim Salerno and decided to visit them in person. Let me just add- Jim Salerno was not at all close to where I lived- but I was intruiged and it turned out to be the best decision. The dealership is a bit under construction, but this did not seem to hinder the kind sprits of all the salesmen. Everyon was so nice and I did not feel pressured at all. it felt very warm and their staff makes you feel at home. The gentlemen made me laugh and it was like talking to your funny uncle. Dan Diprimo was the one who handled my sales and he was super patient (I had LOTS of questions). I never felt pressured and they defintely worked with me to get me to the monthly price I wanted to pay for the 2013 GMC Terrain. He was so good, I ended up leaving with a brand new car that day!! They were super efficient and even took car of calling my insurance company and setting me up. I highly recommend going to Jim Salerno. They took such good care of me. I even got a whole year of free maintenance with the package. Go to Jim Salerno!!!
