My experience with Wedding Belles was a mixed bag. I was referred there by a close friend who insisted that they were the best place to get a wedding dress. So I booked an appointment to try on dresses over Memorial Day weekend, 2014. The woman I worked with was very nice and attentive, but there was some miscommunication over the styles of dresses I was interested in. Still, we found a dress I liked and I made a downpayment and the boutique ordered the dress. In late December, the dress arrived, so I made an appointment for a fitting over Christmas vacation. When I tried the dress on, I realized it was the wrong color. I was not pleased. The boutique worked with the manufacturer to rush order the dress in the correct color, which was great of them, but it was extremely stressful for me since the wedding was less than 4 months away. The real dress arrived in mid-march, about a month before the wedding. I tried it on and the seamstress was there to help figure out what alterations Id need. A month later, 9 days before the wedding, I returned for the final fitting. The dress was hemmed, we had a special bra sewn in to the bodice, but the bustle was incomplete - the seamstress still needed to add 3 pick-ups so the train wouldnt drag on the ground. I was very disappointed that I wouldnt be able to take the dress home with me that day since I had just shelled out $400 cash for the alterations and the dress itself had been paid for in full. I had to have my mom go pick it up the following week. The dress looked great at the ceremony, but something was scratching my leg the whole time. When we were getting ready for the reception, my bridesmaids tried to find what it was (a stray pin) but couldnt extract it. So it stayed and by the end of the night I was literally bleeding. Also, the seamstress never finished the pick-ups for the bustle, so I had to safety-pin the back of the dress so it didnt drag on the floor during the reception. TL;DR the associates at the boutique were very friendly, but they made several mistakes throughout the process and the experience was ultimately very stressful for me as a bride. By the end of the reception I wanted to light the dress on fire because it had caused me so much emotional (and physical) pain.

They were extremely helpful at Wedding Belles. I called to see if they had a specific wedding dress (Ella Bridals) that I was interested in. Like a few other stores, they didnt have the dress but were the first ones to mention that they could order it in special for me. (Did cost $50 though which they told me over the phone.) I went over an hour specifically to see this dress which they had in at the time we agreed upon. I ended up not liking the dress but found another dress there that I fell in love with and ended up buying. They ended up taking the fee for getting the other dress in the store off the cost of the dress I picked, plus a little extra discount. (Im short so they waived the fee it would have cost to order the dress in my height.) I was also there until slightly after the store closed without realizing it - they didnt make me feel rushed at all. I ordered the dress back in June 2010 and was told it would take 5-7 months to get in. I was called in December to say it was in and they asked me to come back to try it on. The dress is beautiful and fits perfectly. (Seriously, no alterations need at all.) My only complaint is that they wanted the second half of the cost of the dress ASAP once it came in. This was tough since Ive since moved out of the area and had to make a quick trip home. (Didnt want to pay over the phone without seeing the dress first to make sure it was the right one and all that.) I can understand that they wanted their money once theyd completed their side of the transaction though. Theyll also keep my dress at the store until just before the wedding which is helpful. They also offer help with dresses for the rest of the bridal party, but arent pushy about it. The prices at the store are pretty similar to other boutiques in the area - not Davids Bridal prices, but not outrageous either. Plenty of choices under $1000 if you want. Hope this helps!

I first went to Wedding belles and found a dress I liked but I decided to check out 6 more stores. WELL, what a waste of time! No one had customer service like WB! Tina is a dream! PLUS, their selection is great! The prices are all reasonable as well! At kleinfelds you will pay 600 minimum for alterations...no crazy price gouging here at WB! and NO TAX like you will pay in NYC. I tried on 40 dresses and still came back to WB. Im extremely happy!
