These guys are absolutely the best. Both my brother and i were first timers and this place was perfect. They worked with us on the designs until we got things that would work as tattoos and were exactly what we wanted. Wed previously seen some other artists who insisted on doing my tattoo much larger than I wanted (Im tiny and didnt want it across half of my back) and Brian gave me the tattoo I wanted at exactly the size with even more detail than I could have hoped for. He was even gracious enough to work with me on finding an ink (I have allergies) and helping me research ingredients - seriously way more than your artist has to do. In addition to the quality, literally everyone at the shop was hilarious - theyre a great group of guys who made two noobs feel comfortable getting their first tattoos. The tattoos are AWESOME. Id recommend them to anyone in a second.

This is where I got my first tattoo, the character "ai" on my wrist. As I write this review I am about to go get another one. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a nice eastern atmosphere and smiles and hello, can I help yous. I was pretty scared, being 18, but I was comfortable pretty soon. The artist that immediately volunteered for my project was Brian. He was very nice to me and knew exactly how I wanted my tattoo. It was painless in my opinion, but I have a very high tolerance for pain. Nevertheless, he was very gentle and that played a big part. When I go back later, I will definitely be requesting him because I am 100% fine with displaying his art. The other artists were very nice as well and pretty freaking hilarious, so if Brian isnt there, I would be comfortable with them as well.

Super professional shop with very friendly artists. I came in as a walk in and was able to get tattooed a few hours later. Hiten was really personable, professional and absolutely delivered. Yes, prices are slightly higher here, but you are getting the NYC quality you want so it is worth it. Also, i saw the interactions between other artists and potential clients and everyone was amazingly friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this shop.

on my way to work in Verona I passes by the shop everyday so I decided to stop by and get a tat. a very warm welcome as I enter the door the guy(Jose) stopped whateva he was doing to help me out. i spent more than i normally would have spend on a tat but when he was done da tat was amazing it was worth it. everyone that seen the tat was like wow were u get that done at. So if you looking for nice artists i recommend powerhouse

They charged me $80 for this super simple small tattoo of the number 13. First off. 2nd , its not filled in all the way, and when I pointed this out to the "artist " he claimed it would appear more filled in once healed, which is obvious b.s and very frustrating. 3rd. He drew the numbers so closely together that it looks like a capital B! Idk what type of half ass operation theyre running here, but I will never return. Smh.

Went in for a simple tattoo, and Morgan was very rude. He wouldnt allow my 2 friends to be there and help me figure some MINOR things out... not sure what kind of tattoo artist isnt confident enough to allow people to observe his work. Anyways, didnt get anything done because you know, these things do stay on your body forever. Id recommend going somewhere where the artists dont mind you worrying about details.

I came here for my first tattoo with a simple picture and the owner, Eddie, here drew a custom sketch that was very detailed and creative. I was very happy with not only his originality but the ability to keep the original concept in mind. The shop itself was very decorative and clean. The other artists were also very friendly. The thing that I really enjoyed the most was their professionalism.

Employees were incredibly rude and complained that they wouldnt get to leave early because I walked in with 30 min still left until closing; my tattoo (a small Saturn, literally a circle and a semi-circle) has uneven lines, some of the lines arent even totally colored in, and it smudged even though I took care of it properly and he assured me it wouldnt. Just a bad experience all around.

I got a tattoo here yesterday and I was surprised at the cleanliness of the place. I was very pleased with the staff, they were very kind and patient. My artist Chris did a small traditional anchor on my upper arm. He was quick and did a quality tattoo. The outline is sharp and bold; his color saturation is on point. I will definitely come back here again.

I got my first tattoo ever here about a month ago. I just got my 2nd tattoo last night. Ive worked with Morgan Reed both times and hes badass! This shop has an amazing atmosphere, awesome artists and they provide quality work. I would definitely recommend Powerhouse!
