I bought my Brussel Bishon there on Saturday, and I was told this place is wonderful. My appointment was made 2 months in advance minds you. Well we arrived at 3pm and I was called at 5:15pm to pick her up. I did not know it would take this long to get a bath but I was then informed that they had over 30 dogs to take care of and we all were told to bring our dogs at 8am. I also informed the lady taking the information that it was my first time there and she did not request to see my dogs shot record even after I asked her if the other dogs there were up to date with their shots. They got me once but once is enough for $50.00. Go at your own RISK.

Love the folks at Animal Kingdom in South Orange on Valley Street. Ive been taking my 2 tea cup Malteses there ever since they were 6 month old. Its been almost 4 years. They do a great job of getting them squeeky clean white and fluffing their hair. My dogs are very comfortable with them and thats important to me. I like the fact that can drop them off early and pick them up by 5pm. I dont always use this service but its great to know that it is available. I recommended them to my sister and she brings her dog to them about 3 times a year (whenever I dog sit her). She loves the job they do. I would recommend them to everyone.

I would never take my dog here again. I love them as a pet supply store, and they are very friendly, but I do not trust them to groom my dog. I have a Shih-Tzu. They cut her hair very unevenly with really, really short hair at the neck area and left it way too long on the legs, and lower body. She looked deformed by this terrible haircut. The worst thing was that she used to have very long eyelashes and they shaved them off completely! Luckily, hair grows back, but for well over a month, her eyes were totally unprotected because of the fact that they shaved her eyelashes down to nothing.

I took my dog to animal kingdom for the first time and I must say I was not happy . First thing first is I asked for a certain cut for my yorkie,round in the face and a number 1 on the body . I went to go pick him up and they saved all his hair off. I spoke to the manager and she was like Im sorry but that is a yorkie cut..Moral of the story I was not happy and on top of that when I made my appointment the guy told me it was going to be $50 when I picked him up it was $55 plus tax..I will not be taking my dog there ever again !

as far as grooming as long as u tell them how u want it cut they are pretty good ive been going thee for almost a year and the staff are very friendly im in a wheelchair and they always help me when i take my bichon frise in to get groomed also when i get food they will bring it to the front and even hang it on the back of my wheelchair for me they also have a Kennel which i will be leaving my dog there for a few days i will let you know the review when she gets out *prays and crosses fingers*

Store is just in the worst area, i was afraid to park my car in fear it might be stolen. and then i was cursed out by a bum for no reason because the store is next to a mental health center. just not a good experience and i will not be going back to animal kingdom. As far as fish selection and prices there is just not a whole lot and the prices are a bit high. only positive is that the store clerks was helpful and offered assistance a couple times.

The best pet store around!!! I and my 7yr old daughter are newbies to the pet world and we jumped out of the window and 1st got an iguana that was WAY out of our league. We brought her back with no problem and ended up getting a VERY AFFORDABLE bearded dragon that we adore. We go there for our crickets, pinkies and turtle supplies. The staff is amazing and it feels like home. Edwin, Ish, and Mike r very personable :)

I went to 2 other pet stores looking for a 6ft fish tank and I was not impressed with the service but when I went to Animal Kingdom EO I was greeted by Ish who is very professional and he knows his stuff so with that we bought the full setup from them tank stand and fish, and now my sister goes there for her fish too.

I went there about a year ago explained to the groomer how I wanted my dog cut, they did the opposite,cut all his hair off,his face and everything, ,when they didnt have to cause he didnt have nots or nothing,I WILL NEVER TAKE HIM THERE AGAIN, THE GROOMERS NAME WAS ASIA,

Its not a great neighborhood, dont go there unless its broad daylight. However, they have pretty good stock at decent prices and they get in some really unique stuff. The staff is pretty helpful, so if you can get over the neighborhood, it might be worth the visit.

I shop at the East Orange store and I always have a pleasant visit. The Workers are very helpful and friendly. When i go there I get what i need and sometimes more. Only thing i can recommend is for them to make their Belly Points more CAT friendly.

Took My cat to get groomed by A and it wasnt a professional cut by no means. Ive have continued to take her here as it is convenient to me and they grow on you, & have different Groomers, Good people.

Hard to find parts for my fluval canister filters, and animal kingdom is the only place nearby that carries all of them..

DONT DO IT. My dogs tail was cut by one of their groomers and suffered for weeks as a result. The owners are not friendly.
