The owner of this store Joel, is very knowledgeable and helpful. Yes, he can seem grumpy sometimes, but that goes with the local flavor of Montclair. To be honest, I havent seen better service at the chain store in Verona. Yes, his prices are higher than a chain store, but he has a frequent shopper program that rewards you for shopping there. It ends up coming out almost even to what I would pay at that chain store, and I am patronizing a local business that is much more convenient (location wise). I dont go to the chain stores anymore; its only Montclair Feed & Pet Supply for me!

This store is the best around. Theyve recd numerous awards for their service. For example, in the recent pet food recall, none of the products they stock were on that recall. Most people dont know this but the owner is very generous in regard to the community. He has made many donations to schools, events and charities.

While the owner may not be the "nicest" person around, he is helpful and knowledgable. The staff is very friendly and they carry a good selection of high quality products. Love the dog wash station in the back -- clean and well stocked. (the dog wash room at Petco is completely disgusting and dirty and cricket-filled.)

We have been going here for eight years. Any time we have questions or concerns they always have good advice. They carry a large variety of great brands that cant be found at other nearby stores which makes them very convenient.

This store is great when you need a wide variety of healthy cat food. I find the owner rude and not current with cat nutrition. Other people that work there are very nice. I wish there were more cat products.
