We had a current inspection sticker, nothing visually wrong whatsoever with our car that would remotely justify an officer looking it up.. We parked on Deptford Mall private property. A police officer waited and waited and waited for hours for us to leave the mall. He was standing talking to someone outside his car when we arrived. We left several hours later. Anyway, the minute we pulled out to exit the mall, not even on the road, but still in the mall lot. We were pulled over for no reason. After refusing to say why we were pulled over until he had our documents and sat in his car for 5 minutes, he finally told us he had "ran the plate" while we were parked in front of Sears, and discovered the registration was overdue. In other words, he had ZERO reason to pull us over, except he was going up and down the rows of the Deptford Mall lot, running tags to, in my opinion, score some ticket writing. He later admitted this to me. BTW, we were not rude or loud and do not have a criminal record. Although we are fairly old people with greying hair and a penchant for polo shirts and preppy clothes, he apparently felt the need for back-up. So a grand total of 2 police cars sat there so one guy could write a basic, non-moving violation! BTW, I understand, hes just doing his job, but with all due respect.... Disgusted, we later called the Mall management. The person we spoke to told us they did not care what the police did on their property, even though we told them that we thought this was a basic violation of civil liberties and that the Mall ought to atleast post a sign warning customers that the local police are allowed to scan plates in their lots. Deptford Mall could care less and have now lost thousands of dollars of our business. (Sorry Brand Jewelers! Sure we spent $2K at Christmas, and were about to purchase a new Tag H watch, but oh well, forget about it.) If I were you, I would NOT shop at Deptford Mall, on principle. We have drug dealers, thieves and many other major issues to deal with, but apparently, we have money to burn on a cop hanging out at the mall, writing tickets on private property. (As if property taxes were not high enough). In any event, if you have even the slightest issue with your vehicle, whether you are aware of it, or not, BE WARNED, THIS IS NO JOKE. Instead, I would go to Cherry Hill Mall which was completely renovated and just opened a Neiman Marcus and other stores, then go down to the Wegmans Shopping complex for even more shopping. Again, I for one, will NEVER go to Deptford Mall again, which is sad, having spent thousands of dollars there over the decades. Sorry shop owners. Im sure when NOBODY is shopping there, you will figure out why. I SAY NO to this sort of behavior with my wallet, folks!

One these best malls in the South Jersey. Always kept clean and has great selection in the food court. Ease of access is what especially makes this mall special compared to no other. So for the handicapped like me you enjoy the easy auto doors by a push of a button, open glass Center court elevator with xtra space for all and so much more. The stores are top notch like American Eagle and Abercrombie to 4 anchor store like JC pennys and Sears. The people are really nice who shop and work there so check it out.

I go to this mall all the time, and the improvements they are making to it make it even better! Im especially impressed with the food court, where they have the awesome sakura japanese stand there which is always great to eat at. My only complaint here is the lack of men demographic shopping. I understand there are more teen girls that shop here, but im getting tired of all the new stores being dress stores, or jewelry. I wanna see more electronic stores, specialty stores, multisex stores, etc.

This Mall used to be great back in the day, but after many changes this place has only gotten worse in both its choices of shops and quality. Every once in a while I will visit this place only to see more stores closed up and be replaced with giant clothing stores (do you really need to close out 6 potential stores to add one giant store?). I have and will continue to go out of my way to visit proper Malls. Deptford is just not relevant anymore.

As a person who hates traditional malls and shopping outlets, I find trips to the deptford mall to be enjoyable. The restaurants and food court selection are decent in quality and price. At least one of the four escalators seem to be in a state of disrepair during any given visit. The bubble tea shop is probably my favorite feature of this mall, alongside the geeky pop culture shops like box lunch.

It is what it is. A middle of the road mall. You wont find the upscale designer boutiques, but you have a decent selection of your usual Express, foot locker, Disney store, etc. as well as decent iterations of Macys, Sears, JC Penny. Good for the essentials, but if you are looking for something special or higher end, make the trip to Cherry Hill (or better yet, King of Prussia).

Several entrances and exits make parking and traffic flow nicely. Several of the major stores youd expect at the mall and the various trendy kiosks. You can have your car worked on at Sears while you shop. The food court feels like its missing something. At this time you can sit down to Red Robin or Ruby Tuesday (which has a bar) if you prefer a sit down meal.

Mall experience was good. While sitting in Sears sitting area, I was approached by a manager and was very rudely told to get up and leave. She said that the sitting area wasnt a "public area" when there were magenzines on the table. I dont know why she would make it into a big deal when I was only sitting there for less than 5 minutes.

This place is always crowded but you can always find something to do for the kids they have a kids area right by the food court, which makes it very easy to have lunch and let the kids run and play in a safe area very good idea just wish it was just a little bit bigger so that the kids will have more options cuz its always crowded

Its a very nice Mall, they have a lot of stores, lots of parking, its not a mall that has all high end stores that if youre not super rich you cant buy anything, they have the normal stores, Macys, Sears, Boscovs ( which by the way has the best deals out of any department store Ive been at ), and they have an excellent food court

He mall itself has a great selection of stores and plenty to choose from for just about anyone looking to shop. Although 3/4ths of the patrons here are a bunch of preppy high school punks who come here to flaunt their spoiled ego and their parents wealth. Dont come here if youre looking for a casual shopping experience.

Convenient location and a great array of stores for anyone. The food court has a good selection of different items as well for whatever you feel like eating. It can get crowded with teens especially on the weekends so keep that in mind when going there. I would suggest early mornings as the best time to be teen free.
