Now that I have moved closer to the Flemington Shop Rite, I have to give the Clinton Shop Rite a great review. Heres what I loved about Shop Rite in Clinton: - MUCH better parking lot and parking overall. I feel like I am about to get into an accident every time I go to Flemington Shop Rite. Too many shops in one parking lot, and Flemmington should flip the parking lot to a horizontal layout, then people wouldnt feel like they were being chased down. - WAY more intelligent and helpful staff…they anticipate YOUR needs, not the other way around - WAY more friendly staff…anything I ever needed I could get in Clinton, not true of Flemington - Better produce - WAY, way, WAY better layout for the produce…no, make that the entire store layout is better (if you ever want to see people get annoyed at each other about every minute and a half, come to Shop-Rite in Flemington on a Sunday and hang out in the produce aisle. Its pure chaos. - Overall, I always left Clinton Shop Rite feeling like the people there cared out my shopping experience and me as a person…I would even say the staff at Shop-Rite Clinton were like friends. I sure do miss my old Clinton Shop Rite! Flemington Shop Rite, you are not bad, but just not as good as Clinton Shop Rite…part of its not totally your fault…if only you could fix the parking lot! That would start the experience off in a better light. Clinton Shop Rite, when you realized that blind corner near the back of the store was dangerous you fixed it and made it a one way…GREAT JOB! I wish Flemington Shop-Rite would make some drastic changes to its parking lot. That alone makes my heart go into palpitations. OR…someone reading this…please open another grocery store in Flemmington…like a Trader Joes or a Whole Foods. I think we have the population to sustain it. Clinton Shop-Rite, keep up the good work!

The store was closing in a few minutes, after waiting for 5 minutes in the self checkout lane they said it was closed, it was my turn to check out. I said I will only be 2 minutes, I only had a few things. The attendant said oh well its closed, the manager was standing right there and heard the conversation and acted like I didnt exist and it was fine, he said you have to wait in that line over there, it had people with full carts, they should not close the register until all the customers in the line are finished, only common sense, that is what you get when you employ teenagers and lousy managers. I cant believe how they treat their customers. The line took 15 minutes and my ice cream melted, very poor customer service. I will never go back!

This is THE worst Shoprite - produce is old and doesnt last more than two days in the fridge. They will cheat you at the deli counter swapping out a brand you want with one they feel "is just like it" and your order will always be just "a little over". I will drive the 17 miles to Phillipsburg, or pay more at Kings rather than shop in this dump. Ive had to throw out enough produce from them that it is not cost effective to shop there. I guess they feel that now that the A&P is closed, such as it was, we who live in the area have no choice but to shop there. We live in a rural community surrounded by farmers producing beautiful product. Why is their produce section so over-priced and such poor quality?

OK, well I wanted to submit this to the store, but they do not have email addresses (or at least not listed), so Ill write it here. The other day I went to the store, and misjudged the quantity of stuff I had to buy. I had stuff in my hand and didnt want to put it down, so I asked the nearest employee I could find if he could get me a cart. He said, "absolutely, Ill get you one, stay right here." He was back a minute later with the cart, and took the basket I was holding off my hands. Friendly, never broke a smile in the midst of my request. An extremely positive customer experience. The 4 stars is because, as with just about every other shoprite, the parking lot is treacherous.

This Shop Rite has one of the most strange and convoluted designs, products just dont seem to be easily found, the produce selections (especially bananas) are always unripe. Almost everyone I talk to seems to agree that this Shop Rite is one of the worst. Branchburg is a thousand times better.

The staff is wonderful but the parking lot is downright dangerous. Nobody pays attention when backing out, it gridlocks all the time, and Ive witnessed over a dozen "close calls" in terms of accidents. I avoid it whenever I can exactly for that reason: parking.

Anthony Lambert who is on the front end is a jackass. Customer service is rude. Workers unintelligent. The layout of this store is awful. Anyone who thinks this shoprite is good..bozo. Owner doesnt care about employees. Will not support this store.

It is 530pm and there are only two express lines and two regular lines opened which are backing up into the isles behind them. The shift manager should be reprimanded or fired. Terrible experience over all.

Clean grocery store with good variety of prepared food, nice olive bar, no separate salad bar, great baked goods. Friendly staff, if you dont find what you need, just ask.

The store is always clean. The people who work there go out of their way to help you. The food is fresh and well stocked. The Club House for the children is awesome!

This is a great store, they always have good sales and reasonable prices. Employees are also helpful. Subtracted a star for the parking lot being dangerous.

Always crowded. Parking lot is a demolition derby. Employees are always in the way. Love the produce. Thats really the only reason I shop here.

For being small and not so attractive they have a very wide range of food, fresh and frozen. Much more to offer than the A&P in Clinton.
