Very knowledgeable staff and good old fashioned customer service the way it used to be! Forget the big box stores! Berkeley Hardware is a shining example of a small business that I hope people will support as customers. ~~ Just a thought/update to the prior messages. Parking lot is open and convenient. [Construction was over back in 2008! :) ] ~~ Unlike the big stores, if they dont have something, they will do everything they can to help you find what you need or perhaps an even better alternative! P.S. Im just a very satisfied customer who believes that when you get good service nowadays, you should let others know about it too!

I was in Berkeley Hardware a few days ago looking for an item that was clearly out of season(tiki torch oil). The gentleman who helped me (Mark, i think) informed me that they didnt stock torch oil off season but if I could wait 10 minutes he would go get some for me. Mark drove to his home to get me tiki torch oil from his own garage! Above and beyond! Support you local small business.

Berkeley Hardware is convenient, well run, warm and friendly/-Berkeley Heights institution. I love that we are able to have such a great resource in this town, and can get all the essentials without heading to the highway and a big box store. Shop local!

This is an old fashioned, honest family owned and run style hardware store. They have everything you will need and the knowledge and experience to match. Everyone is very helpful! They are not open on Sunday, contrary to what it says above.

Just your average local hardware store, limited stock but helpful. There is construction going on in the parking lot July 2008 which blocks the store from the street and limits parking.
