For any bride working within a set budget, finding a bridal salon that offers the luxurious atmosphere that one desires is difficult. After visiting the neon-lighted, "get em in and get em out", cattle shops around town, I visited Swoon and was swept away. Rarely is there someone in the shop that isnt with your party and Michelles every focus is on the bride and finding her that dress that makes her feel like the lovely creature she is. For the discerning bride with a set budget, Michelle is genuinely understanding and accommodating. She wont even begin to let you wander in the direction of the couture, designer labels with the intention that you not fall in love with that out of-your budget look. Michelle is quick to offer every possible solution she can because when she sees the look on your face as you twirl in “your gown,” she has done her job—and can go home feeling accomplished. I found an incredible dress from the Rosa Claire collection that mimicked the Priscilla of Boston bodice. The fabric was exquisite, the details--minutely perfect. My second visit, on which I brought my mother, her face softened, her body language changed, she relaxed, and simply said “mmmm.” She has commented, numerous times, on the level of sophistication and the severe difference between the many other shops we visited in Reno, and Swoon. Ive stopped by countless times to visit "her"--my dress, that is. Michelle is never too busy to direct you to your treasure and doesnt mind your grumblings, chatter, and squeals of excitement over the many facets of wedding planning. Her patience and indisputable excitement for every bride is contagious. As I found the dresses for my bridesmaids—intensely different and certainly designed with a specific bride in mind—I described them in detail. Not two sentences in, Michelle knew the dresses, the designer, and informed me that she had already ordered them—knowing that one of her brides would absolutely have to have them. Add mind-reading to her list of astonishing qualities! One of the most overlooked elements to any experience—especially shopping for your wedding gown—is finding the person, or the place, that is truly passionate about what they do and wants to offer you something you can’t get anywhere else. Swoon accomplishes both. You’re never rushed, you’re feelings and thoughts are genuinely appreciated, and you will leave feeling like the only bride in the world—or the only one that matters! Along with all of that, Michelle also brings an air of experience and knowledge to the industry. From her study of the history of bridal gowns to her time employed at one of the top salons in San Francisco, Michelle exudes elegance and style—who wouldn’t want those two aspects to shine through as they walk down the aisle?! Don’t discredit Swoon—give them a chance. Put them on your list of salons to visit. Be honest and open about your budget, expectations, hopes, and dreams. Michelle will find a way to make them all come together in a stunning flourish of perfection and she’ll surely make you Swoon.

After searching EVERY bridal shop in Las Vegas and spending countless hours on the Internet searching bridal shops, I began planning trips to L.A., San Fransisco and possibly Denver to continue my search for the perfect dress. While visiting my parents in Reno, my Mom told me about Swoon. It sounded wonderful, so we made an appointment. Since our appointment wasnt until later in the day we decided to check out the other bridal shops in Reno with absolutely no luck. As soon as we parked in front of Swoon I knew immediately it was unlike any other bridal shop I had visited. Swoon is inviting and welcoming with romantic decor and floor to ceiling windows and the MOST gorgeous dresses grace the walls. Michelle, the owner of Swoon, is amazing! She is friendly, kind and wonderful to work with. The entire experience from the moment I walked in the door to every email and phone call since has been nothing less than stellar. I am over the moon about my dress!!! I envision my dress everyday with anticipation and excitement and feel so lucky I found Swoon. I recommend Swoon to all of my girlfriends here in Vegas and tell them it is worth the trip to Reno, for all the reasons Ive just listed and because the prices are quite reasonable for what you get. The prices are perfect for the GORGEOUS designer gowns and the one-of-a-kind experience. I also ordered my bridesmaid dresses from Swoon because of the amazing designers carried at Swoon and the great prices. My bridesmaids LOVE Michelle and their dresses as much as I do!

I can’t say enough good things about Swoon. Michelle, the owner, has impeccable taste and is incredibly accommodating and helpful. The gowns she carries are beautiful and well made by a variety of high quality designers. The bridal gowns range in price from under $1,000 to over $5,000. One of the first gowns I tried on was a lovely Jenny Yoo dress for around $800. However, I opted to go with another designer’s gown that I had custom designed. That is the other great thing about Swoon – Michelle has an excellent working relationship with the designers she carries and they are willing to custom craft gowns for brides without changing the price of the gown. I am on a budget, so that was important to me. Michelle is also very cognizant of her brides’ budgets. She will help you find a style of dress you love that fits your budget. She even worked with me to set up a payment plan for my dress, which has made covering that wedding expense much more manageable. Swoon also carries a number of stylish and affordable bridesmaid dresses. And, when a bride purchases her dress from Swoon, her bridesmaids receive a 10 percent discount on their dresses. I shopped around in Reno and elsewhere. No other place carries the variety and quality that Swoon does. No other place provides the same excellent level of service.

If I could give them more stars I would, these ladies are the best of the best. Not only was I short on time(they were my first stop in mid-May, for a Sept. 5th date), I was unsure about what I wanted. They found me the perfect dress, and explained I would have to buy the sample. Totally fine, they care for their "samples" as if they we each about to walk down the run way. I LEFT without a dress in hand because i wanted to make-sure, thinking LA (where I live) would have better options. 4 dress stores and 4 weeks later, I could not get my Tara Keeley gown off my mind, which I found at the flagship store in Beverly Hills, but my experience was awful, the overly botoxed sales woman only cared about was her commission & they treated their samples like trashbags, I am sure to ensure sales on custom dresses. Any ways, I had stayed in touch with Swoon and they with me, checking in and keeping me posted on "my dress". Thankfully it was still there, and in the blink of an eye my wonderful dress was beautifully packaged and on my doorstep. They go the extra mile, make you feel special & heard, and I feel that there was a little extra glow on my wedding day wearing a dress that was "Swooned" over.

Michelle and her assistant at Swoon are truly commendable bridal consultants. I initially went to Swoon while visiting my parents in Reno to look for veils and other bridal accessories. Having bought a dress elsewhere that I wasnt entirely satisfied with, I was enticed by the gown selection and wanted to try on dresses as soon as I entered the store. Michelle helped me find one that had all the elements I wanted, but I still wasnt certain whether or not I wanted to purchase a second wedding gown. Michelle encouraged me to leave the store to think about it further and was really understanding of the position I was in. She wasnt pushy or aggressive at all, and actually withheld comments that would have influenced me to purchase the dress until after I came to the decision on my own. Michelle was accommodating in every way possible while in the store and even thereafter, as she provided referrals in the southern California area for me to look into for alterations. Swoons rates are competitive with other stores and they seem to have sample dresses every now and then that are definitely a bargain (my dress was a sample dress).
