I used to love this place and dropped a good 40 everytime I visited LA (can only carry one bottle at a time). The selection was well edited and the people working there left you alone to browse freely without babysitting. CUT TO NOW: I was in the place just a week ago and the visit really did not sit well with me. I had my phone out and I took a few photos to find out what my friend would want. I get them a little Vegas present when I am here for Magic Show twice a year. Some ignorant security guy is standing on a ladder (which feels like you are in a Mexican parking lot (seriously they do this in Mexico)). This guy calls out to me which is not only tacky but rude. He got down and was following me around. Guess what, I stopped photos, took some notes on my phone, and left WITHOUT BUYING ANYTHING. Sure, I will go in there when in Vegas. The selection is good and I always find something I never heard of however, I will not drop a dime on anything this place sells. You treat customers rudely (unnecessarily), you get nothing in return. I will do the old showrooming deal and take my business elsewhere. I literally have been shopping here for more than two decades but game over. The only thing that will set brick and mortar apart from online is great customer service. Frankly, it is easier to buy online because I do not have to carry a heavy bottle of liquor to my hotel room and I can get a better price. Just saying....

My mom and I have been coming to this store for YEARS since we live in Las Vegas. We take out of town friends and family here to purchase their Las Vegas souvenirs. They have a great selection of different types of souvenirs. There was one sales associate with long nails on the register my mom and I were at. My mom placed the coins on the counter of the cash register (cashiers hand wasnt even open to take it), and as my mom put her wallet back in her purse the cashier raised her voice and said "I CANT PICK THAT UP!!" Basically, all she had to do was slide the coins into her hand since she has those 1 to 1 1/2 inch long pink nails. I found a female manager and told her about the situation, and she said she would handle it ; she also appeared to know who I was talking about when I said the name of the young lady cashier. Of course, we will continue to bring friends & family to the store, but they need to improve that young ladys customer service skills. The day we went, the parking was great. The parking lot is small, so I can see why parking could be a problem especially since some tour buses park there so their passengers can buy souvenirs. Not all the spots were taken, so I might recommend going in the evening.

The prices for beer and wine were quite elevated, charging more than some places in NYC. The selection was large and fairly varied and the people who worked there were helpful and nice, provided they were not on ladder duty. Oh, did I fail to mention that there are people up on stock ladders, watching the aisles of the stores? Trust me, you shant fail to notice it. While I dont mind being taped by a CC security system, there is something creepy about people staring at you from a tall ladder. Multiple times I could feel the gentleman in the wine room stare holes through me, only to continue intense eye contact when I turned about to face him. Weird, weird, weird. I get it, get get a lot of shrink. But this method of dealing with it means Im certainly not coming back to shop. That being said, I may bring people by just to view the anachronism, but I doubt well stay to purchase anything. Anyone that wasnt on a ladder was very helpful and nice. We paid through the nose, but it is within walking distance of our hotel, so we left sated. I guess you cant ask for more than that.

Nothing spectacular at the place. We took a $11.30 cab ride from Caesars to Bonanza, and were disappointed in the selection. a lot of joke/gag stuff, a whole artsy native american section which was empty, t-shirts, mugs/ashtrays. Not much around the area either, except for the Stratosphere around the corner. When you walk down towards the Stratosphere, the neighborhood starts to look sketchy, and you will pass a lot of insistent homeless people begging for change. Otherwise, theres nothing around there to walk to, or want to safely walk to, until you walk for 30 minutes to Circus-circus. And theres nothing to see during that walk either. And youll be hard pressed to find a cab. Just go to the shops by Circus-circus, or even in Circus-circus, as you should be able to get the same things there.

This place is cheap and close to our immaculately clean hotel, but very gross...We spent nearly $100.00 there... But we will never go back. While there I had an emergency bathroom need. It was an older bathroom... I am ok with that ... What I was NOT okay with was defecation smeared on the walls and floors. There were signs that looked permanent all over the bathroom that said "Do not throw tissue in the toilet"... So after you do your business you have to throw your tissue into a big trash can... The sink had cold water only and no soap.... While the toilet was clean, the rest of the bathroom was filthy and made me want to vomit!! This put a huge damper on wanting to purchase things here. . They got our money only because we had already chosen many gifts... But they will not get our money again!

If you are supposed to pick up souvenirs for a lot of people, this is a one-stop shop. Hours are 8 am to midnight. If you are from back east, or international, Bonanza Gift Shop carries some really fun stuff that you can only get in the US West. Minnetonka moccasins (native American leather shoes), native American and native American-style sterling silver and copper jewelry with turquoise and other native semi-precious stones, pocket knives, etc are available in addition to the normal Las Vegas gift shop stuff (shot glasses, t-shirts, flip-flops (thong sandels), paperweights, etc.). Its really fun to see the largest gift shop in the world (even if it is several shops all strung together), and minimizes travel. If you only go to one gift shop, go to this one.
