Every time I have to say no more than once that I dont want "loyalty"? card or that I want to give out my e-mail. I went on 3/2/16 and I as well as many others had a very dissatisfied visit. In a line that kept building until there were eight or nine of us waiting to check out. Since the checkout process isnt streamlined with the cashier focusing more on sales. I and the others around were becoming upset because we watched two employees walk by and do nothing. The manager then walked by and I expected something would be done. With it taking between two to five minutes depending on how the person reacts to the offers it makes no sense to let a line build up. There were at least four cash registers. I paid for my books and walked back to customer service which was devoid of any employees. Now I am waiting to complain to a manager. By the time someone showed up there were four people waiting for help. I find it amusing that it was the manager who returned to the area after finishing stocking some books. I explained how I felt and the guy offered the excuse that people had called in and they were short staffed. He kept saying is there anything he could do for me now. Maybe apologize for the problem and certainly I would think taking care of customers should come before stocking. This guy was in over his head. He wasnt managing the resources he had effectively. I cant believe there isnt a system in place to push someone up to relieve a large line. It isnt a heavy shopping season so just putting someone in to get the cashier caught up and then return to stocking.

Overall, I would rate this store with an above average mark. The staff is (usually) friendly, the Starbucks produces a decent product, the book and magazine selection is decent, and the store seems to be fairly well managed. The only thing I can even begin to complain about is the noise level around the cafe, but this is usually due to the "less-than-considerate" average consumer running around inside of these types of establishments.

Worst store ever with the worst manager, Randolph! I was given a Nook as a birthday gift. I really wanted a Nook Color. It had been purchased 3 days earlier by my daughter and was still in the original packaging. I could have just pulled it off of the shelf. He refused to return it and let me upgrade to something twice the price. If I ever go in a Barnes & Noble again, it will not be this store.

Decent selection of books. If they dont have something available they make ordering it to the store or your home pretty easy. Its also a low pressure environment which is good, you have employees walking around making it easy to ask questions but no one is pressuring you or constantly coming up to you. Ive come in, bought a book, and drank a coffee for 2+ hours and was never bothered.

I just love going through the stacks to find a book. Nothing like holding it in your hand before you purchase. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable at this location. I also love the Music/DVD department. I usually find something new to listen to while browsing the department. Also can find older movies in the bins that are not available elsewhere.

Clean and quiet, with a helpful and kind staff. They have a great selection of sale items with books that will actually interest you, instead of just a bunch of throw aways. Ive always gone home happy after making a purchase. My only complaint is that I wish I could find general reference books a little more easily.

Large corporate book store with a small coffee shop attached. It doesnt have the most character but it is still a good place to browse books. I hate the Nook product. Will never buy digital from B&N again but the store itself is OK.

Pleasant atmosphere and good customer service. Book selection is adequate, but you can find most best sellers in each category. They also have an above average selection of table top games (mainly currently popular releases).

I am far from partial because I love bookstores, but this one is pretty nice. Staff are helpful and polite. I wish it was more books and less other merchandise, but I guess they have to do what they can to stay open.

Good book store. Is very cluttered with non-book things, reducing the amount of actual books on hand. Oh the can order it for you; sometimes you want to put your hands on a book before you buy it.

They have an extensive book collection and the customer service was excellent. I was met within the first minute or so of my visit with someone who was willing to help me with anything I needed.

Great environment and largely helpful staff. Occasionally I will have a cashier who is clients or having a bad day, but that is there exception. They also have in store events which is nice.

Book stores have seemed to of gone away, but it is refreshing to find one as large and with a as diverse a collection as this Barnes and nobles.
