Produce area is good. Fresh goods at competitive prices. Bakery is great. Lots of fresh breads, pastries, cakes, pies, cheesecake, & more. Great deli department. Several types of potato salad, cole slaw, pasta salads, ambrosia, & more. Salad bar is excellent. The meat department has excellent hand cut beef, pork, chicken, and turkey. The beverage department has all of the major brands, along with local produced and small producer brands. They have a large beer cooler representing all of the major breweries along with a number of smaller breweries. Its a great place to shop for your groceries. Well stocked and competitively priced.

I typically love this place but dealing with the rude people in the Deli department has changed my mind. Ive been ordering the same sandwich for breakfast and it always cost the same price until the Manager decides while Im standing at the counter that I needed to pay more. Then proceeds to say well its 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and toast of course it cost more than that. Why because you having a bad day???? Then to top things off the woman that took my order rolling her eyes the whole time I ordered and while she was making my food. I dont think I asked her for nothing that was out of her job description.....

Better selection of groceries than Schnucks or Dierbergs. You wont find lawn chairs or toys. Just a wide selection of foods. The Market has a first class bakery, its own butcher and a deli voted best in the area by food editors. Ive only had positive experiences in the 30+ years shopping at this store, but anyone can have a bad day, customer or worker. Be polite and you will be treated politely. I suggest sorting reviews to show most recent. The store is now owned by Schwabs

Old and dated. Could use a breath of fresh air. Been going here for about 10 years and its just keeps going down hill. Cashiers are the same ones that have been there forever and they are really slow and one of them always has really bad breath and talks way to much. The deli likes to ignore people. They act busy doing anything but helping you. This just happened again today for the third time. Im done never will go back St Charles has alot of other options.

My wife and I love this little neighborhood store. It may be a little outdated, but this adds to its character. The bakery is great, deli is great. Overall their prices arent much higher considering the convenience, they regularly have sales and the prices are good. We have never had bad service here and will continue to support this local business. We recommend you check it out

I have been shopping at this location for 40 years. Since Straubs has taken ownership there is a broader selection of food in some cases. Their bakery and deli are the best! The Best Choice store brand is equal to brand names. For a smaller store it has a great selection and I really like that dont have to hike to the next county to finish my shopping given my disabilities!

I like that the store is smaller than most supermarkets, its truly a neighborhood store. Its easy to find what your looking so you can get in and out with ease. Im always greeted with a warm friendly smiling face. Youll see customer conversations going on throughout the store, the store has character. Reminds me a little of going to the market with my grandma many years ago.

Grocery prices are a little high compared to other retailers and the check-out lanes tend to be a little on the slow side. However, the instock is always excellent, the store is very clean, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the fresh bakery and hot case deli items. The freshly made fried chicken does not disappont.

Midtowne is the perfect example of what a grocery store should be. Many of the staff know the customers. Their prices are reasonable. They have an excellent bakery and deli. You can even get cakes made to order. And they have been connected to the community for much longer than other grocery stores in the area.

Great experience. Its so nice to have a well run local grocery store. I was able to get all the items on my list, find good local produce (peaches) and got help when I couldnt find the pizza sauce. This is such a great store. What a much better experience and quality produce than the big box stores.

Love the store! Bakery staff and checkers are wonderful. But...the dark haired woman that gives out samples by the deli is gross. She eats more than she hands out. Then, she talks with her mouth full and food flies out. Id rather not have a sample with pre-chewed food on it.

Countless times Ive been here. Been going here forever. Sometimes I can get a soda or Gatorade for just a $1 a piece, thats awesome compared to other stores, if I lived closer, Id forget about schnucks and dierbergs and do all my grocery shopping here.

Ive lived down the street from this grocery store for about 17 years now, and Ive never had a negative experience---unless you count getting there too late for the strawberry/chocolate drizzled donuts! Best donuts in town, hands down!

We shop here frequently to pick up odds and ends between big grocery trips. They have the BEST birthday cakes and will decorate it any way you choose. Good beer selection and meat sales. Staff is always friendly!
