I went to Ink Slingers just over a year ago to get my first tattoo, today I wish I had done more research and had not just went with the first tattoo shop I saw. I got a very simple tattoo, two names on my wrist, and it looks HORRIBLE, I think a home done unprofessional tattoo would look as good if not better than this. I do regret this tattoo, not because of what it is but because it was not what I wanted originally, I went in there wanting something smaller and more discreet and they talked me out of it, as well as talked me into putting it in an area that I did not want it. I was told if I was going to get one I needed to get it in an area that it could be seen, and if I wanted to cover it up then I shouldn’t be getting it. If you do go there make them give you what you want or leave! It’s your body and you’re paying for it. Their sign may make you think they are cheaper but they are not; don’t pay for their crap art that will be with you forever. The tattoo cost me $50, for some black ink and two four letter names, this Friday I will be going to Renaissance tattoo to get the damage fixed and add to it to make it less boring by adding design and flowers (color), this will cost me only $60. Good luck, I hope your tattoo experience is better than mine!

My experience with this place was awful! My husband had called to supposedly set up an appointment for me to get a tattoo for my mothers day gift. I was so excited and scared, my first tattoo, mind you. I get there and say that I was there to get a tattoo. Well they all act clueless, have to go talk to the owner who acted like he had no idea of what the heck I was talking about. He then tells me that hell take me as a walk in client, like theyre just so packed, I was the only one there!!!! I actually wanted color but felt like such a burden I said no, I walked out of that place and bawled, I have never been treated so poorly. His attitude sucked and he was so rude! I will NEVER recommend them to anyone and will make sure to tell everyone about my experience. Being a business owner you would think you would know how to treat people but apparently not this guy. I shouldve went with my gut feeling, that place was not for me, trashy! What was supposed to be fun and exciting ended up being shot down real quick, prices may be alright but Id rather pay double and be treated with respect.

My wife got her first (and only) tattoo there about 2 years ago. We are 50+ in age and I have had 4 tattoos from 30+ years ago from in the military. Ink Slingers treated her nicely and was very clean. They answered her questions and were respectful over her fears of getting the tattoo, but it was what she said she had wanted to do for a long time. I would (and have) recommended them to others with no regrets. She still loves the work done and I only wish I could of had the same quality of work done when I had gotten mine.

Great experience and work at Ink Slingers! Weve been looking for a new shop since we moved to Springfield about a year ago, and today we found it! They were totally SLAMMED today for Friday the 13th (as is to be expected for any shop that participates in the tradition), but they handled it like pros even though the shop was wall-to-wall all day. Jason was amazing; extremely light handed, and he pulls one of the straightest lines Ive ever seen. We will absolutely be going back.

I got a tattoo of what was supposed to do a portrait of my passed away mother, god bless her soul, and it looks nothing like the picture and when I asked them about it they told me they dont f***** care. Giving my two year old finger paint turns out better than their "tattoo"

NO WAY would I reccommend this place. I called in to ask about something, and the man was COMPLETELY rude to me. I was not only surprised that he was so rude, but I was appalled that they would treat a potential customer that way. I will never get anything done here.

Great shop George did an amazing job on an american flag tattoo it was very detailed, great customer service, very nice people, look forward to going back to them soon, i highly recommend them go in and talk to them theyll hook you up

They had a guy there to do tattoos which mine wouldve only taken 30 minutes but the guy sat there for over an hour doing nothing and then Saturday go get lunch I would not recommend this place

We werent greeted and stood there for about 30 minutes, watched a smoke break go down, only to be told (upon asking) that they were booked up for that time frame.
