My now-wife (married 2 weeks ago) and I were referred to Joe Montanari by a good friend who rencently had his wifes ring custom made there (in fact, Montanari custom-made his mothers wedding ring almost 30 years ago). He came very highly recommended and being that we wanted our rings specially designed to reflect who we were, we decided to have Montanari design our rings. For custom jewelry, his prices were very competative (best of all the places we looked locally) and we really liked the personal feel of his shop and staff. He always made time to discuss the rings with us and made sure we were getting exactly what we had in mind. Joe and his staff worked closely with my wife and I and together we completely custom designed her engagement ring, her wedding band and my wedding band. We started by finding an art deco style engagement ring that my wife really liked on-line, printed the photos and then sat down with Joe and worked with him to design the ring. He then based the wedding band off of the engagement ring and made a perfectly fitting band to fit next to the enagement ring. My ring was 14k brushed gold (comfort fit) with a small 0.08 ct diamond in the center. All three of the rings came out perfectly beautiful and exactly the way we wanted them. We couldnt be happier with the rings! In the future we will highly recommend Montanari to anyone and hope to be back in soon to design more jewelry for upcoming special occasions!

Joe Montanari and staff worked with my now-fiance and I to custom design THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ENGAGEMENT RING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!! We live in Washington, D.C., and worked entirely via phone and internet. Joe gave excellent information and advice, and WOWEE- when my fiance popped the question and pulled out the ring, I nearly passed out, it was so beautiful!!! To say it exceeded my expectations would be an enormous understatement, because the ring simply blew me away. Montanari Jewelers is a first-rate establishment in every way, and I could not be more thrilled with my stunning ring! I cant wait to work with them again in the future on creating the perfect wedding ring to coordinate!

Joe and Sally just helped us design an amazing ring for my wife. They stayed late after closing to work with us and get it just the way we wanted it. Joe gave us a fantastic price on a custom setting and four outstanding diamonds. The ring looks just the way we wanted, and the price was under our budget. They are very personable, and we had a wonderful time talking with them. Excellent customer service and excellent quality product. We are moving away, but the next time we buy jewelry, well come back to KC so we can go to Montanari.
