I just purchased my 3rd vehicle since 2000 from Gladstone Auto Sales today. My daughter crashed our 05 Mustang convertible, and we desperately needed something reliable and safe that she could drive while reducing her insurance to "liability only" coverage. Once again, he had the perfect car - a 2004 Honda Civic. Tthe first two cars I bought from Jim (a 1999 Chevy S-10 Blazer and a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee) have both given me more than 100,000 miles without any significant trouble. Jim is great to work with, and you can trust him. Theres no high pressure and he doesnt blow up your phone with calls or messages after you have a simple contact with him. He is candid and gives you all the information you request about his cars. He is very selective in terms of the vehicles he parks on his lot, and he prices them realistically and fairly. Gladstone Auto Sales is definitely not geared to moving cars through multiple, high risk finance contracts and recycling their inventory through repeated repossessions and resales. All three of the cars Ive purchased him have been pristine and road worthy in every respect. The Jeep had a standard component problem for the year and model, with the 3 of the power window motors failing and dumping the glass inside the door within a month of my purchase date. Jim worked hard to correct the problem fairly and with minimal inconvenience, even though I purchased the Jeep without a warranty. Ive never worried about packing my 3 children, for long distance beach trips, into any of the cars Ive bought from him. As a single mom, it has been wonderful to find a dealer who understand repeat business and isnt interested in making a fast buck. Two of my three vehicles have been purchased for one of my children, and Jim Roy has been very helpful in terms of guiding me to the best car on his lot in terms of both roadworthiness and crash worthiness. Jim moves cars quickly. The only negative you might experience in trading with him could be seeing a car on his lot and delaying while you shop around. His inventory doesnt sit very long due to repeat customers, fair pricing, and overall quality. If you are frustrated because you cant find a car dealer you feel you can trust, go to Gladstone Auto Sales.

I wish we would have researched this dealer before we bought our van. My husband bought an 04 Chevy Astro Van from them a few weeks ago. He could tell there was something wrong with it but hes no mechanic so he thought it might be the transmission. We know we should have taken it somewhere to have it checked out but we have a tendency to trust people we shouldnt. They said theyd look at it and said nothing was wrong but they would put a warranty on the drive train. Not only did we overpay for the thing but we then had to put another $700 into it to replace two catalytic converters and an oxygen sensor which was triggering the check engine light. These jerks knew what was wrong with it and all they had to do was tell us. We will never buy from them again and will encourage everyone to stay clear of these cheats.

Bought a van a month ago and now it has a ton of problems. The transmission is going bad. My electric locks started uncontrollably unlocking and locking by itself. Now, the locks dont work at all. My tail light also went out but that is an easy fix. When I called today and told them what was going on they said I should have bought the warranty. I told them they never told me about the warranty and that they told me it was sold as is after I asked about a warranty. Otherwise I would have bought the warranty! The guy said they try to sell their vehicles first before they mention the warranty. Of course you do! You also sell lemons for an outrageous price.

We had a great expirence with them and ended up buying our pilot from there. In fact my family has been in contact since with the owner to keep on the watch for certain vehicles. The only complaint I have is they were supposed to mail us the car fax and never did but the vehicle runs wonderfully!

Came from out of town to check out a car the dealer said was in good condition other than a few scratches. The lied about the A/C working and the vehicle looked like it had been in a wreck and repaired poorly. I wouldnt even consider buying a car here due to dishonesty.

Dont buy a vehicle from this place they are cons and rip you off thinking you bought a nice newer car. They arent very nice people and if you want additional cost on top of what they want for the vehicle this is the place ...

I would not suggest buying a car from these guys. They are not very helpful, almost to the point of being rude. If you dont live in the area, its not worth the drive!!
