I was a customer and never will be again of Aldi on Penn Ave. The experience I had the evening of January 6th was reprehensible. I do hope after my communication with their corporate offices, they review the security footage. If they dont have audio, theyll still clearly see the horribly rude and aggressive behavior of Amy, the cashier I had and how the cashier next to her joined in laughing at my terrible encounter. After being verbally abusive to me, and me telling her she was being rude and disrespectful, called on the walkie for "Drew, come and deal with this customer", while rolling her eyes and pushing my cart with 122.00 of product across the pathway hitting the packing counter. As if my items and I both were trash. Oh it didnt end there. I told her that was disrespectful and her response was not that she didnt mean to, or that she was sorry, no...her response was in a very sarcastic tone, "This is what we do here". Which is a lie, because I have shopped Aldi stores living in three states for over 15 years. I have NEVER encountered such horrible treatment, even with orders over 300.00. I was then trying to swipe my card to pay, then and she pulled the new cart ip for the next customer and raised her voice even louder and said, "Did you want cash or not? " I never asked for cash, and that is when she PUSHED that cart INTO MY ARM!! You will see it cleary on their security camera. She continued to verbally spar with me as I was talking to the manager. It was unbelievable. Another employee came out and told her to stop and made her go in back. Drew was a professional and tried hard to control the situation, it is clear however that Amy (brown hair in pony tail, shoulder length likely) is very comfortable and has been allowed to treat people that way in the past or she and the male cashier would not have bern comfortable continuing this assault, yes I said assault, in FRONT of their manager on duty. Even after all that she kept ranting," Well, my regulars like me." As if this were a bar, not a grocery store, where basic rules of decency apply to all. My arm is sore from having the cart pushed into it by the cashier AMY. I will never shop that Aldi again

Terrible customer service. It was almost closing, the staff were friendly as ever. First, as I was trying to find the 1.29 tomatoes that were advertised on website, a man and a women with a cart, started piling every .39 cent cucumbersome in their cart, Ilme and another lady went over and got to swoop a couple. How terrible rude. It was at least 50. Emptying them out. Then lights were going out in the meat section, I headed for a lane which just opened from one to three. I didnt realize in lane one that coke spilled every where and the younger cashier said see was closed as checked out customers, okay great. Well so right as I went to head to the other, another cashier went to an empty lane and said this lane is open and that that cashier in the messy lane will move over. So a gentlemen and I wait in this. The young cashier just checked out the last guy in the lane so were expecting to move over, a gal came up to here who already made a purchase to ask about another product, the gal decides to walk back and help her while we are still waiting for her. I move over to the other lane while the gentlemen Decieded to wait. The cashier came back and checked out the customer who was questioning an item at the messy register that she rejected me from. Then she picks up the empty coke bottle and her stuff and walks off. I am checked out and watching this. Thus is extremely terrible experience. This gal must be knew. She should be fired. Absolutely neglectful. I will not go back to this location until a manager addresses this concern. I would also recommend that everyone else who can, t use the Burnsville location, the staff is always incredible. There is an eden Prarie location that might be good too. Or just use fresh thyme. Wow. Incrediblely bad. You dont ignore customers who were directed to be in your new lane. You tell the customer who came up to hold on the latest others have been waiting. Wow. Just wow.

I really like ALDIs a lot. I dont understand peoples evaluations of the customer service though, thats not what it is about. ALDI is a store where your food dollar goes a loooong way. Where else can I get a CUB sized box of groceries for under 37 dollars? Not only that, but the selection of basics is very good, and their produce and fruit is much more inexpensive than anywhere else, so you can eat better for less money. If youve never been there it can be a bit confusing, but once you figure it out its worth the savings. The checkout lines do seem long, but the way they check people out makes the process go very quickly.I bought the above mentioned box of food and was driving away in 20 minutes. As far as employee demeanor goes, they are busy all the time because they sell large quantities, but they have always been nice to me.

I live around the corner from here and there are three or so other grocery stores nearby, it is by far my favorite. People that have commented above dont understand the place, you dont go to Aldi for customer service, if that is what you want, Lunds is next door. You go there for a good selection and the VERY best prices. All of the food here is amazing that I have had, their own brands rank with some of the best and are identical to Trader Joes selection. I buy plants and also cookware and other trinkets here and I love the place. Pick out your stuff, dont talk to anyone, put it on the belt, put a spacer behind your food, shut your mouth, pay and leave. You will no longer have complaints.

This Aldis is a spacious store compared to the other stores and its quite refreshing. Always great deals, good produce. Usually a pleasant and helpful staff. However last night when we were checking out, I offered a small box and set it in our cart. I asked for the cashier to set our scanned goods in this small box, but she purposely avoided the box hastely. In her haste to avoid the box, our blueberries hit the side of the cart and exploded everywhere. Their employees make very good money here. This cashiers behavior was unacceptable. Its not like I asked her to pack the whole cart, just set some items into one small box.

Aldi is awesome. The prices are so good that I rarely pay attention to them. Great for staples - eggs, cheese, milk, veggies are good, fruit is great, but they sell out of stuff. Their bread has gotten to be very good and fully half the cost of cub. They are always adding new organic product and interesting niche things... Hello fast cooking whole grains, Bulgar wheat, barley, and quinoa. Its simple, who needs 42 different kinds of ketchup? You can get the basics in 10 minutes or less. Fast, good and cheap, you can have all three!
