On behalf of my father and his experience at this location I am posting this review. My father has been shopping at this location since we were babies and we knew quite a few employees. On this particular experience my dad came to do his usual weekend shopping and forgot to grab an avacado when he reached the checkout line. Instead of walking over there he asked the cashier to type in the amount for one so he could just pick one up on his way out with the rest of his things. When he grabbed one he walked out the door assuming it was fine since it was on the receipt and okayed by the cashier but nope! A jerk of an employee came running out like he was superman of bad doers and interogated my father excusing him of stealing a tomato which I guess for a produce guy he could not distinguish an avacado from a tomato. Of all the years my dad has shopped there I guess thats the quality you receive back from being a loyal customer over the years. Even after bringing this to the managers attention there was not much of an apology given. Theres plenty of competition out there. This store is a bad representation of the east side. We will no longer continue to shop at this location. Buh bye!

I lodged a complaint regarding the price of some meat that I bought, I also snapped a picture of the tag they had listed at the meat locker so I could send it to a friend, Rick from this store called me and lied about the whole thing, said the sign said each not pr pound while Im looking at a picture that said pr pound! I know its not a big amount to everyone else but being on a fixed income I have to watch every ppenny I spend and to have him tellme thats not what it said, he was just out and out lying, I dont tolerate that from no one!

Usually these guys are on the ball. Not this morning, January 31, 2017. It seemed like they were understaffed and the left hand had no idea what the right hand was doing. I have all the time in the world but I do not think I should have to wait as long as I did for four items, which I took out of the hand basket and left on the unmanned express counter!

Friendly curtious staff! Awesome meat department! Helpful checkers n carryout personal. I have been going to Parkfair Fareway since they opened! Even when I lived in other parts of the city n now Bondurant, I still shop at this store!!

We get our meat here. They honor competitors coupons, and have quality meat at value prices. Store is always clean and well organized. Workers are friendly. We also like that they give employees Sundays off, to be with their families.

All Fareway locations and this one is no exception have got the best meat counters and meat in the Des Moines area very highly recommended and prices are always comparable usually much less than other brochures

This store has a great selection and a full meat service. What was unique about this place is that the checkout counters are handicap accessible.
