The two folks who had poor experiences should really voice their concerns directly to the store and not complain on Google reviews about it. My experience with the Whole Foods in Edina has been very positive. They offer great programs, such as the recent 28-day health challenge, contests, local vendor events, and generally helpful staff. Yes, its a new store and they will naturally have growing pains, but I think its okay. Other examples of great service: 1. A cashier ran out to the parking lot after a customer who forgot his eggs. The man was in his car driving away and she was able to catch him to hand him the eggs. I dont think this happens at Target; in fact I know it doesnt. 2. I was wanting some Health Starts Here approved bread and they were just putting out fresh whole wheat. While waiting for that to be cut, I asked one of the ladies if the Pumpernickel bread had a ton of ingredients. They happened to be putting out some fresh loafs and showed me the label. I dont think there were more than 8 ingredients. She was super friendly and willing to help. 3. Knowledgeable staff - Anytime Ive had a question, one of the staff has been able to assist me. 4. Deals - they have weekly specials which are posted on their Facebook page, Twitter or their website. Great to keep on top of their specials. 5. Samples - LOVE LOVE LOVE samples, as does our son. Great way to learn about new products and food. Again - I really enjoy this market and would and already do recommend it to my friends.

Have to say I love this place. Been to the one in Uptown many times but the Edina location is much closer to home. Everything here is awesome. You get what you pay for... Just a note on service, I have never had to wait longer than 30 seconds for anything. Honestly. Also as a side story about service: I have ordered their margherita pizza probably 6 times now. It is the best thing they have in my opinion. I get it take and bake and its awesome. So the last time I ordered one they guy made it up and handed it to me. As it was going through the checkout I noticed it had red sauce on it. I always thought that margherita pizza was just the olive oil and really no "sauce" and that is how Whole Foods has always given them to me. I thought, "what the heck, lets try it". I did not like it one bit. It was just not for me. So I emailed them. Simply asked was it standard for their margherita pizza to have red sauce or olive oil. They responded "the person that makes the pizza should always ask". Then said there was a 15 dollar gift card at the service desk for me the next time I came in. That is the kind of service you get at Whole Foods. Great place to shop.

I was so happy when Whole Foods opened pretty close to home. The first few times I went to this store, I was surprised at how small it seemed. Not the selection of products, which is vast. But the aisles seem to be close together, the produce area is condensed and its very hard to navigate a cart around when its busy. And the parking lot. It also seems cramped, and illustrates the worst in Minnesota drivers. I *really* make every attempt to go to the store at off hours so as not to be caught in the maelstrom. I have been disappointed by produce quality more than once at this location. The snow pea pods are an example. They are often displayed lying out in a basket, barely refrigerated. They are limp and unappetizing, with brown spots. Its difficult to find someone to help, and the help I have gotten wasnt much help at all, even though the people have been friendly. In contrast to that is the deli and pre-made foods area. It usually looks spic and span and all too appetizing. The workers behind the counter are usually knowledgeable. And the bakery. Wow, nice. I would love to give the store five stars, but when I average my experiences in the store, its just meh.

This is the WF I shop at occasionally. I used to really like this store, but with the addition of rabbit meat, I started to shop there less. Far too many animals are killed needlessly for food, and the rabbit meat just makes it worse. I later found out that they also no longer allow people to bring in their own containers to purchase items in bulk. Its hypocritical to claim to be eco-friendly when shoppers have to use more plastic containers from the store. Whole Foods: please add the integrity back into your business model. Ive voiced both of these concerns (as have many others), but it ultimately comes down to money. Its more important to make money and save their own butts than have integrity.

So my husband and my family went to this Whole Foods tonight for the first time. We actually read all the google reviews beforehand and were a little skeptical about going since the rating was so low.... Honestly though, we had a really nice time. Everyone was really nice (contrary to reviews) they were super helpful, this lady gave my kids stickers at the end with cookie samples.... Yes, the prices are high, but ya know.... Its all organic. Im personally more of a co-op person, but this Whole Foods wasnt that bad. Im giving it 5 stars.

Edina Whole Foods is fabulous! Well, so is Calhoun but Edina is closer to my home. Customer service is superb—everyone goes out of their way to be helpful. Ive always been pleased with the produce, meat department, dairy, specialty items and all the products. When the Calhoun store opened, staff there went out of their way to get to know me and remember me by name each time I came in. Same with Edina, although many faces were familiar from Calhoun. I try to welcome good experiences by offering a welcoming attitude myself.

Many retailers forget that consumers have a choice. I used to go to this Whole Foods for the salad bar lunch until today. I paid $10 for some so so tuna, old grape tomatoes and sliced peppers. I was disappointed but when I received such rudeness from the cashier, that was IT. Ill never go back again. Its over-priced, sub-standard product. I felt like an idiot giving them my money. There are at least 10 other places within a mile radius that I can get better for less.

Defiantly one of the worst Whole Foods. This Edina location is right by my work so I stop in sometimes and usually leave really disappointed and empty handed. They put spices on the white rice(if its even out) which taste horrible. I try to ask for help or to see if the would accommodate but they never do. My boss used to work there and has the worst stories and things to say about that place. I love Whole Foods but will never go to this location for hot/salad bar again.

When you have some rare/hard to find veggie needs, Whole Foods is your place. If you are attempting to do your regular, everyday grocery shopping, do yourself and your wallet a favor and go elsewhere! The Whole Foods = Whole Paycheck joke is true if you fill your cart here. The bakery has decent offerings, but nothing out of this world (especially for the prices). Stick to individual, hard-to-find items, and you will do OK here. The staff is very friendly and helpful!
