Was looking to upgrade Ice Castle and searching online for options. Found one at Smokey Hills Outdoor Store. Worked with Nathan who was outstanding!! Gave them a very small amount to hold unit for me. Drove 6 hours to pick it up. I can not say enough good about how they handled us. I was surprised to find our unit had no toilet.......BOOM seconds later a toilet was being installed!!! We didnt have the right size hitch for the new unit as it was larger than our previous unit, BOOM unit hooked up with correct hitch!! Had an issue when we got home.....BOOM solution arrived in the mail a few days later!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE (new or used units) AT THIS STORE IS BEYOND AWESOME. Thank you Smokey Hills!! Even though you are 6 hours away, we will be back for our next trade!!! See you in a few years!!

I had an accident with my ice castle and brought it in to have it repaired. They did a great job on the repairs, only problem is I asked them to also replace the holding tank release. It is not working, cant get it to open from the outside lever. I asked to have it fixed also. They forgot and now I dont have time to take it back, I had to drive from Fargo to pick it up. Its very frustrating when you ask for something to be fixed and they dont do it. Its becoming to common now days. So if you have them working on your castle and they say its ready, you may want to have them send you a copy of what all they did before you are on a time crunch and have to drive a long way to pick it up. Not impressed with that.

We made a stop here out of curiosity, and ended up buying a new pistol. A very unique store, with a wide variety of outdoor gear. All presented with a fun, old-fashioned roadside tourist trap soft of flair. BTW - the price on the gun was about the same as what we were going to pay at a big retailer, except the service here was far better. Great staff.

Stopped here at random to check out some fish houses, the staff was very helpful and polite. Very knowledgeable on the ice houses they had in stock and showed us what we wanted to see and not what he wanted to sell us. The store is a neat set up, I would encourage anybody to check it out sometime! Prices were fair.
