I now try to avoid this place. lol. Great selection of food but the service can use a lot of work!! Ive been shopping there for a long time. Their service hasnt gotten any better. After work, you just want to grab something quick and get out. Well....not here. Lines are forever and if you need to get something from the fish market, well...that WILL that will only take another forever. During the weekend its worst!! It doesnt help that theyve now raised the prices on foods that other Asian stores have not just because they are a bigger Asian store :/

Two stars for great ethnic food selections and variety of produce. I would have given a better review except I was given different prices at the register a few times. Buyer beware, their pricing system is not regularly updated and dont match what is marked on the floor. Had recently bought a bag of Hot Cheetos that was marked down to 3.00 but at the register it was still full price at 3.49. Always check your receipt and price of items when you shop here.

There quality of meat is bad, looks brown. And when you take it home, its stinks if you dont freeze the meat right away and if you leave in the fridge for one day, it smells super bad. Veggies are bad also, looks dead everyday. Its just my opinion, but you can judge for yourself. I never buy any meat, fish and veggie products. I only buy what is boxed up and anything that is secure in a jar or anything that is seal.

Its an okay place, they have fresh fruit and veggies, but the other products are expired, because last time i grabbed some cereal, it was expired! And the next day i went there again and i started checking out some more of their products, and almost EVERYTHING was expired! So i just recommend that the workers change the products more often so that they make sure that their products are not expired.

This isnt "just" an asian market! They have asian, african, mexican, they have everything! Their produce department alone is enough to keep me busy for an hour! My boyfriend wanted a fruit he had when he was in Mexico, and this is the only place i have ever seen that has it fresh. Very cool. Great selection, fresh meat, great frozen. Kind of chaotic, but totally worth it.

I just ran into an employee at SUN FOODS in Brooklyn Park. Her name is THAO. She kept ignoring me when I asked her a question about the price and finally yelled at me that she was trying to do a math!! She was extremely rude and when I complained to the store manager about her, she showed up, lied that she did not yell and refused to apologize. Worst customer service ever!!

Me and my family always buy African food from here. I like how they have a outdoor market in the summer right in the parking lot. I also like how if you spend over $100.00 at Sun Foods(Im not sure if it also applys to the Saint Paul location also)you get a free case of "Sun Water". If you are African or Asian and live in the Twin Cites I recommend Sun Foods.

I love the excellent quality and appeal of the produce an fresh meats but i notice a disturbing way that the service workers treat other minorities this is unfair and illegal in the usa. Im sure the managers or owners is unaware of this activity so with that being said we all lives in this village and we need to love one by the grace of god.amen

Your cashiers are rude and unfriendly.They dont acknowledge me or speak at all. If you dont want me to shop there I will take my money to another store. It wasnt this way before but it is now so you have really gone down hill. Also, people in the store barely speak English and can not answer any questions when asked.

5 st a r for the diversity of products they have over there but its a very dirty retail store. It smells very bad and they dont do returns after 3 days. But,but if you like exotic meals you can possibly find anything there! From snails to groundnut, Sun food is Exotic ingredients Heaven!

Prices pretty good for what I needed but hard to find pricing on lots of items and same items in different spots where prices were listed differently. Also many items not what price tag below says it should be. Difficult to shop when you have no idea what prices really are.

Soo much variety love that i can find any cut of meat here if they dont have it out they will make it! Yes it stinks in here but get over it theres live fish and tons of seafood. Even cub foods stinks by the seafood section. Soo many produce from everywhere i love it.

As far as asian supermarkets go this one is great. Has a huge selection and I have had no problem finding what I need. Sometimes you need more Japanese stuff you can go to united noodle or more Korean stuff you go to dong yangs. But for the most part its all here.

Their meat and poultry is never fresh and goes bad within a day. The workers dont know where anything is. I asked for jalapeno and one of the workers said they didnt carry them. Then i found them in the non refrigerated area. Worst store ever.

Arrived 15 mins before closing for that one missing ingredient only to find out its closed. Their meats are also dated oddly, the time of packaged is the following day. Had a small metal ring in my ground pork. Meat juice everywhere

The set up of the store us interesting. As soon as you enter there is random non food goods galore, but then immediately moves to fresh produce. I wad not impressed by the quality of it, most of the food was spoiled.

Some products doesnt have the price tag. When you check out, the manager gonna make up a price at her choice. A rice ball was 2.99 and the manager said 5.99. Found out later, got the difference back easily though.

Wide variety of hard to find fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and products at a very good price. The store is large for an oriental food store - almost the size of a Rainbow or Cub Foods. Quite clean and spacious.

Sun foods has a massive selection and you can find just about anything you need here. However, it can be a frustrating place to shop at with pretty minimal customer service and a very understaffed seafood area.

Fairly typical large Asian store selling fresh and frozen foods as well as groceries. You can buy dishes and other goods here as well. The fresh fruit selection was limited and the store not too clean.

Its a great market for fresh seafood. Plenty of international products. I was able to find green plantains and several of the condiments my family uses. Great variety and decent prices.

With their new "expansion," its bigger but bigger doesnt always correlate with better. Service is mediocre and the lines are way too long if youre just looking to get something quick.
