I really enjoy going to ALDIs. It has good food that is inexpensive and not cheap food... BIG difference. And it has organic Maranaria (pasta sauce) for only $1.49, which is really incredible. Organic pasta sauce is usually $5 - $6.50 a bottle. This is especially important because tomatoes are one of those vegies that is heavily sprayed. And its not as if you can "wash" the tomato sauce...so there. By the way, the following fruits and vegetables are the most contaminated, so if you can, try and buy these organic (or wash really well in dish detergent and water, then rinse well). Apples Bell Peppers Celery Cherries Grapes (imported) Nectarines Peaches Pears Potatoes Red Raspberries Spinach Strawberries In closing, i have a friend who thought that her daughter was allergic to strawberries and apples. Come to find out, it wasnt the fruit that her 3-year-old daughter was reacting to, but rather the pesticides on the fruit. So, get the word out. Most of us cant afford to be "organic purists," yet we can try and avoid heavily sprayed commercial products and/or wash them really, really well. And, of course, this is especially important for our young children who dont do so well being systematically poisioned. Happy shopping, Rebecca

This particular ALDI is much brighter and spiffier-looking than its counterpart up on Bass Creek Rd. and W. Broadway in Crystal where i had been going. The staff here seem friendlier and it seems to be somewhat better stocked. There is a better selection of meats and poultry, and the fresh fruit and veg were varied enough to suit my needs. I was delighted because it means that there are only a very few items I have to go to Cub to get anymore. My only critique would be the parking lot, which is kind of a pain to access from Penn Ave. because the entry is very, very narrow. Its actually better to drive south on Oliver Ave N for half a block from Lowry and turn into the lot from there. Much less traffic on Oliver, too,, (BTW, Oliver is the next street east of Penn.)

I usually go to the Columbia Heights location which is closer to home, however, this one is closer to work. Ive been to this location several times and usually have left a little dissapointed and occasionaly very irritated. Produce, dairy, and meats are not very well stocked. The layout is not great and this store is over crowded. Ive even visited during lunch breaks and still crowded. Recently (this may be Aldis in general) Ive seen a significant hike in price with specific items. Overall my experience has been less than satisfactory. On the bright side the cashiers seem to be friendly and helpful.

The staff is very friendly, along with the security guards. Prices are about $1.00 less than Cub Foods.. For things such as half and half, bread, butter, and usually red, yellow, and orange bell peppers. Parking, when busy is a bit of a hassle, but there is a lot and lots of spaces. TIP: Go into the parking lot, from the side street. Its one block further that Penn. Its less likely to be busy and is an easy way to get onto Lowry.

We were big believers in Cub Foods. However, Aldis has proven time and again that they have the best prices. They have the best selection when it comes to allergen free foods (without having to spend tons of $$$!). We do 99% of our regular grocery shopping here, only heading to Lunds for rice milk. As for this location, its great! Clean. Stocked. Looks just like the other locations in Minneapolis. Love it!

Once you make it inside the Aldi, things are well and fine. Regular Aldi store. Clean. Fairly good selection of items. However, the parking lot is usually a mess. Parking is limited, and attempting to get out of the parking lot onto Penn usually means waiting several minutes for traffic to clear. Much easier to go out the back side of the parking lot.

Melissa the rude cashier... I have never encountered a more rude cashier. She threw my food in the cart and I asked her to take it easy. She told me I didnt have to shop there! What a joke! This location is dirty and does not have all the offerings of other locations, I would say its a third smaller than average. I am done with shopping here.

Cashiers are disrespectful, rude, and they throws your grocerys into the carts and if you say something to them, they talk trash about you and how you trynna get smart with them. They also guves attitudes and its just a really dumb how sometimes other customers laugh at it too.

Not in the best neighborhood, but the cashiers do an amazing job cruising people through as fast as possible. Could probably use more staff, lines can get long at times, but they do move pretty quickly. Shelves are mostly neat and well stocked.

All the employees are ghetto as all get out. They have no people skills or professionalism anywhere in their resumes. Very poor customer service at this location. The whole store and its employees needs to be remodeled.

Most ALDIs are at the same level, this one is no different. Produce is fresh, affordable prices, and typically not to busy. ALDI is my go to for majority of basic grocery needs...this location is nearest to home.

Every time I get Aldis Sunday flyer and go there to buy the advertised item (almost always meat) They dont have it. If I ever return to this store, I will call first to see if they have the item.

I do my shopping on Sat/Sun. Gotta wait sometime on morning weekends (long line!!). Sometime some items not in stock. Need more cashier workers, imo. A lot of people sometime, have to rush...

the produce is garbage there... it looks good on top but is rotten on the inside... and the meat has a weird slime... just go to one of the many other stores they have.

Usually a very pleasant experience, but it does occasionally have some questionable clientele -- not their fault, but still its not Eden Prairie.

Best darn grocery store! $26 dollars and had enough food for a week. Fruits, Vegetables, canned goods, bread, meats and some of the best chips!

Prices are NOT what I remember! Too expensive for my blood considering their foods are "home brand". Nice selection of produce, though.

Its nice to have a local store near by. A little slow on the cashier part but all in all they have every thing you need
