A Private User

My son attends this university and he is challenged academically. Hes was a National Merit Commended Scholar in High School. We feel very good about the education he is receiving and the price of tuition is outstanding for a private institution. One of the commenters mentioned that they dont have a lot of PhDs at this school. My son is taking 16 credits this semester and all of his classes except one (Art Appreciation) is taught by a PhD. You wont have TAs teaching classes at this university.

Mediocre school. Insulated community that talks big about making a difference in the world while homeless camp out in Eliot park. More concerned with saving the souls of white suburbanites than with feeding the hungry. Education is mediocre and narrow. Arts and sciences are an after thought taught by unqualified instructors. Very few Ph.D. level professors. Stifles debate and academic inquiry in favor of doctrinal conformity. Useless education, especially if in the Liberal Arts.

Love it, I am currently a student and three out of four classes this pass semester have been taught by PhDs. Very knowledgeable, intelligent professors who care not only for their jobs, but for students as well.

Items are fairly expensive, especially when no sales are active. Even still, the selection is typical for a cross between a bookstore and gift/souvenir shop .
