Honestly this used to be a 5. I love their selection because they have so many different things to try. Recently I stopped in there was a gentleman that was busy working (normally they are). As soon as I stopped in the gin section and began googling reviews he stopped and came and stood right next to me and watched everything I did. He did not ask if I needed help. He did not make small talk. He did not even say hello. He stood and watched me. When I looked up at him he began acting busy and after stating that wouldnt buy anything because of him thinking I was stealing he laughed. I work for a liquor store across town part time and understand that loss prevention can be an issue but there is an appropriate way to go about it. Ask how somebody is doing, ask if they need help finding something. I was in plain sight right by the registers...I do not carry any purses or bags. This was ridiculous. My boyfriend and I stop in here once a week or more and will no longer be going in there.

This review describes their new location in MSP airport. Its been a while since Ive been so angry and stormed out of a restaurant. But that was my reaction after selecting a deli sandwich and snack and then patiently waiting for 15 minutes while other patrons were served. I was at the counter to get a glass of wine and pay for my food but I was invisible while no less than 8 employees busied themselves straightening kitchen utensils, staring off into space, and occasionally helping the woman sitting next to me (but continuing to ignore me). I shouted as I walked out that if they didnt want to serve me, I now understood that loud and clear. I had finally understood the message and was taking my business elsewhere. Screw this place I will never spend a dollar here.

Look I am not really into wine. What I am into is great beer and they have great beer. With Paul(who I believe is the head of the beer department) they are quickly becoming the go to beer place in my neighborhood. I used to have to go to Zips or South Lyndale Liquors early in the morning to get my hands on limited release beers. Now I just hit up Lake Wine and Cheese. If your a beer person you need to hit this place up and make sure you make some good conversation with the tall guy with the accent and glasses, he knows his brews. The only hit I have on the store is that the beer section while phenomenal it is a little cramped in its current space. Go here if you like good beer at reasonable prices.

With its excellent selection of craft beers, affordable and delicious wines, and wide variety of liquor, this is my favorite liquor store in all of Uptown. Their staff has always been super friendly and knowledgeable, and recently sold me a bottle of special released beer directly from their personal beer stash. I always find exactly what I am looking for, while also finding something new to try. And of course, I love their accompanying cheese shop with its high quality cuts from local farmers and artisan breads and snacks. This is a staple to the neighborhood!

Just moved to MPLS and this place is right down the street from us now, and we are absolutely in love. The cheese selection is absolutely insane and I couldnt believe how affordable they all were. Cant wait to try some of the sandwiches here. As far as beer and wine go, they have a huge stock, and the staff were VERY friendly and helpful with all of our questions. We stocked up with 6 bottles of wine. Four tallboy 4-packs and a 6 pack and were out the door for less than a hundred bucks.

I really like this place, the people are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Even when they didnt have the brand of beer I was looking for, they knew what it was, where it was from and what other liquor stores in town might have it. The cheese shop is AMAZING (former wisconsinite)- I highly recommend the truffle cheese. I think given the stores location, everything is in the expected price range. Theres pretty much a small premium on everything due to the convenience.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Selection is great. They have a small cheese and sandwich shop up front with an amazing selection of cheeses complete with descriptions of the cheese and wine pairings. Amazing! There are places closer to where I live for me to buy beer, wine, liquor and cheese but this place is worth the trip! Definitely recommend!

This liquor store achieves quite the balancing act. In a mid-sized retail store footprint they cram in an extensive wine, liquor and beer selection (both craft and macro) and still manage to have a great little sandwich and cheese shop. The sandwiches are a hidden gem, seriously, make sure you grab one next time youre in here picking up booze!

Went in to grab a sandwich at the attached little store. I ordered the Grannys apple turkey sub for my boyfriend. Couldnt resist taking a bite. Omg so delicious!! The store is super tiny and cute. Filled with chocolates and candy and bottled sodas. Price is not bad either. For a big sandwich and a soda its around $7-8.

Great selection of craft beer. Good selection of wines. The 6 for $36 special has a good variety of drinkable value wines. The cheese shop is a hidden gem of the neighborhood. They sell some intriguing specialty foodstuffs along with their well-curated cheese and meat selections. Dont miss their sandwiches!

This is a review of the MSP Airport shop only. SOMEONE added an extra $1 to the TIP section. Now I know its only $1 but ALICE must not be happy with her hourly rate and decided to put an extra $1 so when it showed up on my credit card statement...there it was. Could be and accident but just a heads up.

Expertly curated craft beer selection and a surprisingly vast wine and liquor catalog within so little square footage compared to its Minneapolis peers. Staff are knowledgeable and recognizable (they dont turnover), though at peak times you may not be able to get a word in edgewise (understandably).

Solid store for drinks and the best in the Lynlake/Uptown/Lake Street area. Theres a good mix of lawnmower beers and craft brews in cans and bottles to keep folks happy. Theres also a solid booze selection, with a good attention to mixers, bitters, and other accouterments to keep the party going.

Great wine selection. The attached store has the best sandwiches and a great selection of cheeses and other charcuterie. The sandwiches are all made to order, with top notch ingredients. If this was closer, I would have a different sandwich there every day.

On the fancier side as far a liquor stores but without any markup as far as I can tell. It has a great little cheese/ snack shop attached. Perfect place to go pick out a drink and date night treat. We often walk past 2 closer stores to go to this one.

Best craft beer selection anywhere in the area. I work across the street for years and just finally stated picking up my brews here. A little cramped but better to have lots of choice than wide empty space. Great job folks!!
