Went into Maple Grove Best Buy today and experienced rudeness, apathy, and arrogance. It took nearly 15 minutes for someone to obtain a key to open the Ipod Nano case, and the responsibility was passed from one store employee to another. As I waited they talked to each other, laughed it up, and ignored me as I waited (VERY PATIENTLY) for the Ipod. When the hipster looking clerk handed me the receipt for my $200 purchase, he snapped his finger, turned away and said , "cool." Originally when I asked where Ipods were I was told the Maple Grove store didnt sell them, that people are buying Ipads now. REALLY? I actually dont even know what else to say as I attempt to describe this bizarre experience. I do know I wont ever go into that store again. My intent today was to get a new keyboard for my Imac, which I did. Interestingly enough, while I didnt need anyones help with the keyboard the hipster clerk and two other workers were standing about five feet away, talking to each other while I picked up the keyboard. I noticed them watching me but none of the three asked if I needed help, had questions or did anything to give me any reason to think that anybody even cared that I was there. I was called Dude by the hipster and on the way out I had to produce my receipt, even though the not busy at all guy by the door watched me complete the transaction at the register. The bag was clear, see-through. Yet he wanted to see my receipt. What could I have possibly slipped into the bag on my walk from the checkout guy and the door? This is why I will never make any big purchases at Best Buy. I found and have more than once, the employees to be unprofessional, have poor product knowledge, and more than anything very poor representatives of the corporation for which they work. And yes, I know its Maple Grove, elite and all that. But in actuality, were really just talking about a bunch of lazy underachieving guys wearing uniforms and nametags. JUST like Subway or McDonalds. Not really much to be all that superior over if you think about it.

I dont usually make complaints about stores, but I will plan on avoiding Best Buy for all future purchases. Micro Center in St. Louis Park will get all my business from now on. I had a computer in and out of Geek Squad from April - July. It took many return visits and arguing before they would believe me that they didnt fix it right the first time. We took the computer in as the laptop screen was a funky color and you couldnt change the brightness. After picking it up the screen flickered. It took multiple visits and time arguing before I met David Dang who finally believed me that they didnt do something right when replacing the screen. Several visits before meeting him they kept telling me it was a virus causing it and it needed to reset to factory settings. I didnt believe that and asked for the manager. She wanted to charge me to erase all the data. Finally they agreed to do it for free as the computer was under warranty. Keep in mind it is now June and this process started in April. She was really rude and made us feel completely horrible. After picking up the computer again in June it was still doing it. I finally met David Dang on this visit and agreed with us. The computer screen was replaced again and now it works great. However I have spent hours getting all the software, printers, email and Dropbox back on the computer. This was all unnecessary. David run and find another company to work for. You were great and the only one in 4 months that we trusted. Best Buy your customer service is horrible and you need to train your staff to work with customers not argue with them.

Around a year and a half ago, my husband and I bought my Motorola - Moto X Pure 4G (unlocked). We did this so we could buy a phone outright and have a service plan. This phone was not available via T-Mobile, or we would have bought it from them. I specifically remember asking when we purchased the service protection plan if there would be any additional charges or fees if we had an issue down the road with the phone. The team member at the Minnetonka, MN store (where we bought the phone) said no. My phone has a connection issue at the base where it meets the charger and we brought it in tonight. Low and behold there is a $150 fee to get my phone fixed/ replaced. This is a scam. Your company and service protection plan is a scam. I have been a loyal customer to Best Buy for years and have never had to use a plan before. But now? This phone isnt barely even worth $150 anymore (Amazon has it for $50 more). You have lost me as a customer. I will never buy another thing from Best Buy ever again. I will buy from Amazon or any other company on the planet. You lie and scam and I am so upset that I am paying another $150 on a phone that has an obvious factory default. Oh, and I also LOVE the fact that in tiny fine print on the request form from tonight gives me only 45 minutes to cancel this request. Which was NOT pointed out to us at the store and I only saw it after we left the store. Liars and cheats. I am not at all surprised that your company has had financial issues with the scam business you are running. I am done with you

We plan to avoid BB for any further purchases. My wife and I are "Elite Status" members due to the purchases we have made there in the last 2 years. $2000+ tv and sound system, 2 washers, a dryer and misc. other items. Guy at returns was fairly rude when we tried to return the dryer vent hose they made us purchase even though we knew we didnt need it. We were one day past the return policy date and hes got the attitude turned up to 9?? Latest is wifes damaged cell phone... charging thingy is bent inside. So we have Geek Squad protection and apparently that has changed. $150 deductible and they sent her home to fill out something online and send it in? Last time I had an issue, they took my phone on the spot and set me up with a loaner. BB, why are you making it less convenient and appealing to patronize your stores? I used to be excited to got to your stores because it most likely meant something new or improved for us. Now we dread it and therefore will avoid it at every opportunity. How long before Amazon buys you outright? Im thinking 5 years or less

Monday, Nov 23, 2015 2:30 PM. Store is basically empty; clusters of employees throughout the store. Nobody to greet me at door to help find desired product (HDMI cable). Found it, on sale. Many cables stocked on wrong pegs with wrong prices, so I checked the SKU number and took a photo of the peg label. Went to check out: only 1 guy at cash registers; painful long wait. Asked him to call for help, he said he had already done so with no luck. Finally checked out, but the wrong price came up (regular price, not sale). Too late said the cashier, you need to go to customer service to get the sale price. At customer service; no employee at a register; waited for help; then waited for manager. Employee said sale price not loaded in their system (this is an obvious bait and switch tactic). Really; does it need to take 30 minutes to buy a 4 long HDMI cable? Best Buy is going to fail due to crappy store management and poor customer service as Im switching to Amazon for everything. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR SUCH CRAPPY MANAGEMENT and CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE.
