this might be the worst Gander Mountain location. do yourself a favor and drive to the Lakeville store or head to Fleet Farm in Carver. The customer service is non-existent and you have to take a number to talk to someone in the gun department. OK, thats fine for a busy weekend.... but a weekday when i am the ONLY one on the second floor (besides the 2 employees behind the counter that were "too busy" on their cell phones to help me), doesnt make sense. however, i thank you for making my decision easier on where i will be buying my new equipment...and im sure Cabelas would also thank you. the archery department is a absolute joke, i wouldnt even consider it as such. by no means should a person EVER walk in to this store for ANYTHING that remotely resembles a archery product - be it a tree stand, broad heads, etc. again, go to Lakeville or your local archery supplier. In store pickup - - do NOT choose this store. drive 500 miles to another store if you have too! i ordered a tree stand online and it was to be delivered in store. Fedex tracking confirmed the store received the shipment. i wait for the phone call, as the email states, the phone call never comes. i call 7 days after they received the shipment and was snidely told "it takes us time to get through our inventory, if we dont call its not ready". i give them another 8 days to get through inventory, whatever that even means, and they say again "if we dont call its not ready" i ask for a manager who had the bright idea to walk back and physically look. well what do you know, they have had it all along and it somehow went unnoticed for over 2 weeks! now this wasnt a snickers bar, this was a climbing tree stand, so how someone didnt see it?? beyond me. lastly, good luck at check out! if you are lucky, there will be 1 person helping.. along with 4 others aimlessly walking around in front of the registers or acting like they are doing something in the footwear section.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Tried to purchase a handgun for my wife and myself today. They had two employees working this morning, one of which was helping a customer but didnt even acknowledge us. The other employee ignored us when we were walking around looking at handguns because he was to busy cruising the internet. Once he was done with that, he looked at us and decided his time was better spent straightening out ammo boxes rather than helping us (while we were standing at the counter). He spent about 5 minutes straightening the ammo out, popped up, saw we were still there and went back to straightening ammo boxes. Finally the other employee asked if we needed to pick something up and I told him I wanted to purchase two guns, but his partner thought straighten out ammo was more important than sales. He went to get the other guy, and 5 minutes later after we finally said the hell with it the employee (never caught his name but he was a full beard and glasses) walks over and screams to us if we need help and that he is ready to help us now. I said, no. You can go back to straightening out ammo as you didnt want to help us for the 20 minutes we stood waiting by the gun case before. We were literally 1 of 2 customers there, and the only one holding the number 42 ticket (the next one to be called). I will never go back to Gander Mountain, but rather spend the 20 extra minutes to drive to Cabelas because at least I will have something to show for my 20 minutes of waiting, unlike at Gander Mountain.

Im certainly no expert when it comes to guns, but I do have a decent idea on what it means to have at least some level of customer service. Came into Gander on a Monday morning to look at some model 1911s, I was one of two customers there which apparently was one too many! First, if I were a dentist, my specialty would be pulling teeth, because thats what I was doing to get anyone to help me. I walked back and forth in front of the gun case about 5 times before the employee finally acknowledged me, of course no pleasentries, ok then, lets get to business. Im going to buy a gun, but you need to sell me the gun, so I asked a couple of questions, whiched seemed to be an extreme burden for this person to answer. He didnt offer to take the guns out of the case to show me the products, or try to sell me the gun at all! Im the type that will pay more for things as long as the customer service is decent, well at this point you couldnt give me the gun for free (well you could, but now thats not the point is it)? I have a huge problem with this, Im always pleasant, always patient and truly rely on the experience of others when my ignorance gets the best of me. Not to single out Gander though, it just seems in at a lot of gun places, testostorone governs peoples foul skill in the art of customer service. Just my opinion though, so take it at face value. I will try the new gun place by Menards on Saturday to see if its any different.

This is by far the worst Gander Mountain store I have ever been to. I chose to go to this store because I was told it was a "Gunworld store". What a joke! All of the used guns are behind the counter with the gun information written on a tiny card that you need to ask an employee to hand you the gun just to read what caliber it is. They really need to learn that if your going to sell used guns, you need to have them easily available to view the condition of the gun. Instead, they treat all the used guns as new and you have to have an associate personally show you each gun you might be interested in. I guess that would be ok if they had friendly employees that you didnt have to wait an hour for to talk to. My experience at this location was horrible. The place was not busy, yet I waited half an hour standing in front of an empty gun counter without a single employee coming up to me. Instead, I had to go up to an employee and ask for assistance. When I finally got assistance, it didnt seem welcoming or friendly. I felt like I was being a burden every time I asked to see a new gun. This employee had very little to say about the guns I asked to see. When I go to a gun store, I want a salesman. A person that will tell me the features of the particular gun and what other options that might fit my goals of my purchase. Look elsewhere if you want service. I will not return to this store again!

Wish i could put no stars. I was the only customer at the gun counter at 10AM with 3 employees working up there. the guy behind the counter looked at me and walked in the back with a box . when he came back out he looked at me again and walked away. i was ready to buy a 700.00 gun i left and went elsewhere. i was upset with my experience so i called the customer service number and they forwarded my complaint to the manager of the store. she called me and basicly said she was sorry, but said not to make excusses but we are more worried about puting stock away that early in the morning, and if i wanted to see something i shouldnt be bashfull and shy and to ask. she then asked what she could do to make me happy. i said i dont know, you tell me what you can do. she said how about i set up a time for you to come in one on one with a gun guy, since it seems like thats the kind of service your looking for. she was very snide the whole time and obviously she didnt listen to a word i said because i told her multiple times that i left gander and went and purchased the gun across the street at arnzen arms. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO ANY GANDER MOUNTAIN
