A recurring theme in the reviews is the concern over high prices for second-hand items. Customers have found items priced higher than their brand-new counterparts in retail stores. This has led to dissatisfaction among shoppers who visit Goodwill for budget-friendly options.
Another point of contention is the inconsistency in pricing. Items in similar conditions or even missing pieces are often priced the same, causing confusion and dissatisfaction among customers.
Customers have compared Goodwill's pricing to that of retail stores and found some items to be more expensive at Goodwill. This has led to questions about the store's pricing strategy.
Some customers have mentioned that the best time to shop is during sales, particularly when certain colored tags are half off. These sales seem to offer a better value for money.
The staff's behavior has received mixed reviews. While some find them helpful and friendly, others have had experiences of rudeness and unprofessionalism, particularly at the checkout and donation areas.
Customers have expressed dissatisfaction with certain store policies, such as closing the fitting rooms 30 minutes before the store closes, which has been described as inconvenient and frustrating.
The store offers a wide range of items, from clothing to household goods. Some customers have been able to find unique and vintage items, making each visit a new experience.
The condition of items varies, and customers have advised potential shoppers to be cautious. There have been isolated reports of items being contaminated, leading to concerns about quality control.
The store is generally described as clean and well-organized, which enhances the shopping experience. However, the store can get busy, affecting the availability of items and the time spent in queues.
The store is known to attract a lot of traffic, making it busy at times. This has both pros and cons: while a busy store indicates a good range of products, it also means that shoppers may not find what they are looking for due to high demand.
The store is located in an upscale neighborhood, which some customers believe influences the pricing. However, the location is considered worth the drive for the variety it offers.

WARNING: This Goodwill is EXTREMELY overpriced! My first experience I found a safe: they wanted $75 for it. I found the exact model at Walmart, regularly priced for $43. Second experience I found a shirt I wanted. They wanted $5.99 for it, even though it had a clearance tag from target on it for $3.69. Third experience, they wanted .99 cents for a really beat up ice cube tray. I found the same exact tray, brand new, for only $1.99. Management refused to adjust the prices. Policy on this is simply, "once its priced, thats the price" - never mind serious pricing misjudgments. It is understandable that they dont want to negotiate prices all day on items people simply tore the tag off, etc. But honestly, you cant sell a used item for more than new! It seems to me that this Goodwill thinks that because they are in an "upscale" neighborhood that they can take advantage and charge whatever they feel. People, please stop paying prices you dont feel are fair. Another shopping tip for this store is that it doesnt matter what condition the item is in, its the same price for what it is. One thing will come in missing pieces and it will be the same price as something with all the pieces. Oh, and, nothing is under .99 cents here, because thats as low as their stickers go. Why not just call it "The Used Stuff Dollar Store"???

The store is clean and orderly, the staff is helpful, but i do feel that this market has many items priced way too high for second-hand merch. This used to be more accessible to families like mine who are shopping here because we cant afford these items at major retailers and some of the prices here are almost reaching the prices at a traditional retailer. I am always disappointed to see that there is an overabundance of used items in this world, if the prices were dropped or you had a low-income discount, the store would move much more merchandise and also provide a service to the consumer as well as the other clients served by Goodwill. I shop at Goodwill Outlets when i really need to stretch my dollar.

Good selection of things, but poor customer service. I went in there yesterday and found a really neat vintage talking plush. I brought it up to the register and the cashier commented on how heavy it was for a stuffed animal, and then proceeded to open the velcro on the toy and pulled out the battery pack and was like "oh thats why." When I was asked if I wanted to round up my total to the nearest dollar, I politely declined. He then rounded me up and charged me the extra. He already had my money in his hand and gave me my change in bills and moved on to the next customer before I could correct him. To say the least, Im very disappointed with this goodwill trip.

I find the best stuff at this goodwill! It is usually kept clean and orderly and the staff is mostly friendly. They close the fitting rooms about a half hour before store closing, so plan accordingly. I was not aware of this policy and tried to use a fitting room with about 15 minutes to spare and a staff member yelled at me over the loud speaker to get out. I found this both unprofessional and silly. I had plenty of time to try on my 2 items and checkout before store close, but was not allowed and embarrasses in front of other shoppers. I now come during the day when I get a chance or not at all.

All goodwill are hit-or-miss every visit since so much come and go. Ive been able to find lots of cool stuff, including band shirts that walmart wont sell(at all) for super cheap when normally sold at $20+ at this location. I like it because its not nearly as busy as some around the cities. Its not only this location that sets a few higher prices, Ive been to many that do the same. If youre so concerned about a few bucks that gos for a good cause, then simply dont buy the item here. Also found some cool books and roller blades here too. :)

This is the best Goodwill I have ever been to. I do have to agree however, some of the prices are more than what you can find at other stores. I find the best things at this Eagan location. Ive been around to all the other Goodwills in the area and can never find anything I like. The best time to shop is when they have the half off sales on certain colored tags. that same colored tag that was on sale for half off goes to 1.49 on Tuesdays!

Good and cheap things but terrible service... I have been here again at closing time. They have a very stupid policy about closing their dressing rooms 15 minutes before they even close their stores. My dad only had to try on two pairs of pants right when they announced it and they still wouldnt let him. Very dissatisfied

This Goodwill location is worth the drive out of the city. I go here for womens clothing and can usually find brands such as The Limited, White House Black Market, Ralph Lauren, etc. Go during off hours - or you will likely have to wait in line for a dressing room.

The workers in the donation garage always whine when you bring a lot of items and it doesnt make sense because thats the point of the business, to take free items and charge a premium price and make it look like your somehow helping people and the community....

Beware of the Bed Bugs in their merchandise........Big Problem with their stuff. They spread like Wild Fire once you get the contaminated item home and will cost you hundreds of dollars to get rid of them.

I love going to my local Goodwill, the people are friendly and i always find something fun. Even though Goodwill has cut back on the number of days for deals its still a good place to find a bargain.

I wont start with goodwill. They sometimes have really helpful things here. Work clothes is what I come for. Employees seem unhappy but they get alot of new stuff in.
